I always appreciated the roster of songs that each GTA brought to the table.
Vice city and San Andreas were cool time capsules for their respective eras. GTA IV and GTA V being set in current day allowed them to showcase some bands that were not as well known. Was able to find some cool new bands that way.
I hope that rockstar doesn’t get too focused on nostalgia and the 80’s and can deliver some cool indie stations and lesser known songs again.

MTV made Pop the most dominant genre through the bulk of the 80s, and I think that is what they are going for.
70s born Arena rock was still a thing, until it got replaced by the Hair Bands of the late 80s. Hard Rock was very mild by in early 80s compared to 70s and the grunge of 90s.
Depeche Mode is spot on for 80s
Def Leopard was hard rock of the 80s. Deep Purple are legit founders of heavy metal, add in Bon Jovi and David Lee Roth. I would give anything if Roth could add songs from 1984, but that is not going to happen probably.
Tom Petty and Wang Chung, for more 80s vibe. It would be amazing if the rest of the Highwaymen were there with Waylon Jennings, but George Straight and Glen Campbell, along with Tammy Wynette is going to make for a good country station.

I’m pretty excited about this finally coming out. I’ve been playing GTA consistently (well as consistently as they are released) since GTAIII came out in 2001.
Since I have vacation time out of the wazoo I’ll probably take a few days off when this comes out and play the shite out of it. My wife already conceded and told me “I guess I know what you’ll be doing all thanksgiving break.”
I’ve been putting off buying a new console for a LONG time and will buy a new Xbox for this.
My question for you guys is it worth getting the series X over the S? I’m leaning towards the 1TB S.

Your xbox might explode if you try to play this on an S. Definitely get a base PS5 (the pros are sold out everywhere)

To his question why, GTA 6 is going to be one of the most detailed and resource intensive games released on this generation consoles, and the S is by far the weakest option. It will have a noticeable difference from the other 2.
Saving money is not worth it sometimes.

I'm willing to hold out 6 months to 2 years to avoid 30 fps sand paper on the retina frame rates. I've never understood Rockstar's insistence on PC releases being post official launch.
