looks pretty good, think i'll pick it up
world looks beautiful and it looks pretty fun, but it seems like the AI is shite (especially if you like to stealth) and you get overpowered way too easily, even on hardest difficulty

Even though this game looks good anyone who trusts reviews at this point are fools

Probably wait for it to eventually be on sale, but definitely going on my list

Same. Looks very open world Ubisoft-y. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I'm not a huge fan of the newer AC games, and the gameplay here looks very similar.
Also, even though the game looks good now, I wonder if it'll get a PS5 patch to really boost graphics.

Reviews seem fairly mixed.
Think I'll wait for PC or big sale.

77 positive vs. 9 mixed critic reviews
Will be interesting to see what the user reviews are

I suck at video games so sounds perfect for me lol

Go read some of them and then the comments. People are pretty down.
All the reviews state the same thing and it's a bummer. Another big open world with a ton of filler and repetitive missions. Mediocre gameplay.
That's just a killer with how many of those games exist these days.
Ghost of Tsushima is a beautiful samurai tale buried under a familiar open-world game; The last big PS4 exclusive is a conflicted one
Polygon: Ghost of Tsushima review: You’ve played this before
A great setting let down by rote design
‘Ghost of Tsushima’ Is a Pretty Game Built on an Old and Creaky Foundation
What might be Sony's last game for the PlayStation 4 is also, ironically, stuck in the past.

Super excited for this! Lots of great reviews!

It’s at an 84 on metacritic with 86 reviews. It’s clearly reviewed well - just not GOTY well.
I’ve been surprised with parts of the reviews. The combat looked consistently clunky and stiff to me from the first showing on, and the combat has been fairly unanimously praised in the reviews. Too bad they apparently didn’t nail the other parts (stealth, quest repetition, story, etc.)

The reddit mega review thread(s) have a lot more positivity around the game.

I like open world games. A lot of them have crappy narratives, but games like The Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA series, Day's Gone, and some of the AC games have proven that you can have open world with a strong narrative.

Based on the reviews, it looks like they tried to pull off the Horizon Zero Dawn move of taking elements from the most popular open world games and mashing them together into a single package.

I did hear while East, there are some difficulty spikes

The scenery in this game is beautiful.
eta: combat looks a bit clunky and the camera during fights looks like it can be a pain at times. Story seems pretty interesting so far.
It's all over Twitch right now if anyone is interested in seeing gameplay.

Samurai vs Mongols are badass

Played the first hour tonight when I got home from work, so far it's pretty bad arse. It's absolutely beautiful and the combat is really fun once you learn how it flows. Looking forward to sinking a lot more time into it this weekend.
