Started playing arena yesterday. So far I’ve got 3 2nd place finishes in 2 days, and up to 98pts. Had a few 5-6 slim games too. I’m enjoying it so far.

I had the exact same mindset. Got second plenty of times before finally winning a game and I hate getting into it with anyone who gets into a building battle. Got my first 2 wins yesterday though hanging around until the end and waiting to make my move once it was only me and one other left. Just went on the offensive at that point.

I am a weak builder too. If you get to the final circle, when it moves again where both parties have to run for it and get high ground first, you'll eventually get one. Someone will get stuck in storm or build themselves in a bind. Just keep plugging. I don't have one in this season yet but have gotten several top 3s

I hold my own until they build to the point where they have the high ground. Then, I can't see them and I'm toast. Happens every single time. It's why I try to keep dynamite on me but that doesn't even help with the people I see. They build so quickly it's unreal.

Anyone on PS4 got any advice on making WIFI useable? It's so unstable for me in this game and hardwire is no longer an option

I don't understand. Just because you have 100 Mbps doesn't mean you're gonna get that in wifi.
I have 1000Mbps and get around 300 right next to it on some device

last night in squads I was hitting shots dead on that weren't registering. Not only closer AK shots, but a few times we had someone knocked and pumps from point blank weren't hitting. Is this some type of settings adjustment that needs to be made? I think Bonck witnessed it once but will probably just bully me about it instead

There have been some issues with the game recently. I'm not sure how to explain most of it but some is that the other person already put a wall up on their side of the server and the rendered image on your side has not come up yet. It's very frustrating as it can mess with the way you play.

I have heard about that. This is without any building. Its like they move out of the way without me seeing it? Last night a guy was 1 ramp away with a shotgun. I hit him in the hit box area with a blue AK probably 5/8 times and only registered once. He was a complete potato. hit me twice with pump in that timeframe and I was DOA

No I know that, but I'm getting less than 1 mbps in some cases... There's no reason for it to be that bad other than faulty hardware imo (and it's been well documented that the PS4 original WiFi card was complete shite).
My point mentioning my speed was not that I'm expecting it to be that high, but simply pointing out that the infrastructure is there and there's no reason a game should be virtually unplayable at times

What's your setup for internet? (modem, service, router, router location, what frequency do you run 2.4 or 5, do you have an AC router or N)

My internet is through Uverse, we use their BGW210 dual band gateway (2.4 is n, 5ghz is ac)... but just found out my original PS4 can't tune into the 5ghz channel... I've been thinking about getting a pro anyways, this might be a reason to do so

For the record, I'm 99% sure my problem is the wifi card in the original PS4 was garbage, I just never had an issue because I was hard wired before I moved
