What is the general consensus among people that have played XII, I skipped that one and have heard polarizing things about it. People love it, or hate it, but there does not appear to be any middle ground on that one.

Sales =/= Hardware Quality
...but thanks for letting us all know that it's a piece of crap since you admitted to never having one. The graphics are amazing for a handheld and you can play your favorite PS1 Classics on it. Its library is more than adequate for how long it has been out.

12 starts slow and it's story is average. Also its main character really has no point of being in the game. Where it shines is it is probably the most open world ff console game with a pretty fun combat system. It also has a ton of sidequests to do with some tricky boss fights.

It's main character is whomever you choose. I consider Ashe the main character and considering Vaan hardly ever has to be in your party, I don't see why people let him bother them.
