Fallout New Vegas

Anyone here play fallout new Vegas? I got this game for Christmas one year and didn’t think much of it. I ended up playing it and got obsessed with it for a long time.
Every time I played I ended up finding a different faction/group to do side quests with. It made for a truly open world feel when you can join any side in a massive open world game.
The amount of depth of conversation in this game is truly remarkable. Go up to almost any NPC in the game and have a full blown conversation which could unlock all kinds of possibilities for starting side quests/ unlocking things/ making caps.
This game had its downsides with glitches and bugs but the good outweighed the bad.
Just kinda reminiscing on the old days of playing this game and wondering if anyone else had some experiences they wanted to share with FNV.

It was my first Fallout experience.
Played that game for so long. Just as you said, explored multiple factions, created different builds. Fantastic game.
Got curious about Fallout 3 and I just could not deal with the subway system. I hated how the map felt so segregated and choppy.
New Vegas is actually the only 360 game I still possess. Couldn’t stand to trade it in.

One of the best fallout games

I came from Fallout 1 & 2 (which are still my favorite 2 games of the series) and 3 was a massive disappointment for me. I consider New Vegas to be the best of the 3D Fallout games by far. Very cool game!

I got it free or included with Prime or something. Started playing it blind and got distracted by something else or 1 of my many hospitalizations (averaging every other week inpatient lately). Since then I started on FO76 before getting distracted again.
Will eventually return to both as they are fun and interesting games.

I agree, fallout 3 & 4 were good games but didn’t have anywhere near the freedom that new Vegas had as far as quests. Being able to completely stray away from the main story line was amazing.
A perfect example is the brotherhood of steel in fallout new Vegas. They have nothing to do with the main story line but if you seek them out they have an amazing line of side quests and unlockable gear.

I would easily pay $40 or so for a FO:NV remaster. If they added in some of the cut content that didn't make the final release, I'd throw whatever they asked for under $100.

It is one of the greatest games of all time, and for my money the best true role playing game out there. Want to be an evil a-hole? You have companions and story lines for that. What to be an NCR Ranger for some ungodly reason, there's storylines for that. It lampoons portions of our culture without going full retard. It's just amazing.

There’s just something charismatic about New Vegas that stands out. The NPCs aren’t just boring fill in characters that give side quests. The game has dark humor and it’s not tedious.
Anyone else shoot the lottery winner?
I really wish they’d remaster this. I’d gladly pay for it.

Loved it. The attention to detail of the area was top notch. I like to tell people I've actually stayed at rhe super mutant lodge

Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.

Can we all agree that Caesar was the good guy?

Being the calm, rational head of a crazy murderous slaver army doesn’t make him any less of a raging a-hole for being the head of a crazy murderous slaver army

Playing Starfield made me miss this game. I was an absolute terror of the Wasteland. This game is amazing because you can kill literally every NPC you come across and still finish the game. Greatest role playing experience of all time.

Realizing that I could just flat pull a "look at me; I'm the captain now" was glorious

If a single person even talked to me the wrong way just one time their entire faction was obliterated. For that reason Caesar never had a chance, Powder Gangers were always toast, Khans were 50/50. Most of the casinos ended up completely devoid of life. NCR usually got a pass and I got along with the Boomers.

I enjoyed it when it came out but never finished it because my save got glitched out and I couldn’t continue. I need to go back and finish it one day

I consider it to be the best game ever made.

Same. frick that a-hole, and basically everybody else. Scorched earth on easy is a fantastic way to play.

I talk everyone down. I talked down Lanius. I talked down Joshua Graham. I strung House along until I unplugged him. I pretended to go along with NCR's bullshite, and then in the chaos, I took over. frick everyone
Currently playing a Lore Bard in BG3, so I imagine you can see a pattern there
