Anyone jumped into Tarkov after the .12 update? I'm really enjoying the game.

I can see that. Its a looter shooter game. The questing and leveling system is what has got me back into it. I'm enjoying the grind right now, i'm sure i'll get tired of it eventually.

I almost solely play PUBG so I'm used to clunkiness, camping, and shitty optimization, but tarkov takes all of these to whole new levels

Been playing for a while now. Hitting the .12 grind slower than the previous wipe.

As for others considering the game, it's fricking hard, and you're gonna die a lot. Don't be surprised

It's a game some will love, some will hate. It seems like no in between with this game.

I have watched Anderz and Robbaz play it.

It's a hoarders game, especially if you like buying, selling, etc weapons armor, etc.

People act like the money in the game is real, and hoard and ask the world for silly, meaningless shite, and people pay it with in game coin. You can pay to win/lose to your enemies.

I think why i stopped playing these games is because of designated spawn areas. Takes so much away from the immersion of a survival game knowing where everyone else is at the beginning. Eft was fun for a while, though. Shoot, loot, scoot.

To an extent. Armor piercing bullets are armor piercing bullets though and if you have a decent group of friends with such low TTK and can hit your shots you can drop anyone.

Me and my buddies started this week, 2 of us last night on a scav run on customs making our way to dorms. Catch this loaded whale running down the fenceline without seeing us creeping up and we had him dead within 3 seconds. Was rocking a $600k rifle and fully kitted.

If you have a team it neutralizes whatever money ole boy has tossed into his loadout

I've been playing this game for 2 years and it's come a long way in development. It's still a beta game for sure, but it's steadily improving and the developer is very passionate about the game. Unfortunately, the latest surge in the player base has brought on some big server issues that they're struggling to get resolved.

I saw Welyn play it, but he also makes Rust look easy...

Got the game 2 weeks ago and I'm absolutely hooked. I am surprised more people from this board aren't playing.

Game's been in beta for a few years now so not that surprising. I played it a year+ ago, got it early Dec. 2018. After a couple of months of daily play and only a handful of maps...how many rocks are on Shoreline?

Yeah it's still posing an issue, really awesome how much work they have put into it so quickly though. Opened up like 23 new servers within a few days.

Hopefully the large influx in cash will help them as well as the big streamers have brought a ton of new pre-orders for the company.

negative.

I have it and did play, but it has a lot of issues.

Early access game, so expected.

My old rig struggled to run the game and I kinda just stopped playing.

perhaps one day i'll come back around to it.

Bumping this. Went ahead and bought it today and I'm loving it so far. It's definitely a challenging learning curve but I'm enjoying switching from Offline mode to SCAV whenever the cooldown is up.

Trying to learn the Factory map at the moment. Had a great SCAV run where I popped a guy that was fricking loaded. One tap with the SKS to the skull. Had a ton of cash, keys, HDD, etc. Only problem was this happened in the last minute and I accidently went to the wrong extract.

Definitely getting back on after the game this afternoon. Great game to play until they decide to nerf DMRZone.

I actually played some this morning. The movement is full blown aids, so it'll take some time to get used to

yeah it's taking some time to get used to...but it's a little easier than when I tried to give Arma a go.

One of the bigger issues I had getting used to was going from the complete giant cock out running of Warzone to the sneaking around "nah I'm good on where those gunshots came from" mindset of Tarkov.

I bought it the day before the Christmas wipe. I’m full on addicted. Just reached level 10 and opened up the marketplace

I’ve really only touched customs. Do some scav runs at interchange and a few runs in woods but that place is so open idk what is what. Gonna have to run offline n learn it some more

Also, the cultist are fricking scary as frick. Got stalked on customs at night, heard heaving breathing then a laugh and I got stabbed with a poison knife that drained my health til I died in the extract zone with 2 seconds left to extract

*Alt-f4
*uninstall game.

but yeah that's why I just keep dropping Factory. I want to more or less master that map then I think i'll try Woods. It says those are the two easiest maps.

and by easiest....they're labeled "Hard" and every other one labeled "Insane".
