Yeah, his post only lists FPS. I assume performance mode is 1440 for series x and 1080 for series s, but not sure.

Just bought the game. Never played a dark souls game but can’t ignore all the phenomenal reviews. Life is hectic is it’s daunting to play a 100 hour game but I’m excited to see it

The New Zealand trick is working for series X, FYI.
I tested before work out of curiosity. Gotta put in 8 hours before I jump in, but that could be of benefit to anyone with the day off.

According to the notes, the patch will be addressing frame rate drops. So we shall see where things ultimately end up.

I did the New Zealand thing as well. Can’t wait to get home from work and dive in. Struggling not to watch anyone on twitch.

for those of us who have no clue what you are talking about lol...what is this new zealand trick and is it something that has been known to work with PS4/5 as well?

I don’t know if it works on PlayStation but on Xbox as long as the release is staggered by time zones and not a global release you can set your time zone to NZ and play 14 hours early

hell I'd recommend Demons' Souls remake on PS5 first (if of course he has a ps5). I felt that it was a more approachable game for a first timer (which I was when I started playing it back in December). After now finishing Dark Souls remastered and starting Bloodborne, I'm glad I did Demons Souls first. It helped tremendously.

Can't wait. There is not a single element of the game in the reviews I have seen that I do not like. It is as if From has taken everything great- from King's Field to Sekiro- and mashed them together. I always worry about too much hype, but I just don't see this game being bad.

Came across some catacomb and got jumped by like 5 gargoyle things when I went to pick up a item. Got absolutely destroyed by the bleed
