Trying not to get my hopes up though lol

I think MLB the Show did something similar a few years ago by hiring or contracting the guy who led the annual full minors roster editing efforts on operation sports. Their base roster improved some but I’m not sure it had the impact that players thought it would. Hopefully ncaa is different

As much fun as it is to play as Alabama for me, it was always a good bit more satisfying to do something like turn UAB into a powerhouse.

John Reseburg - VP of Global Marketing at EA tweeted that over 5,000 of the 11,000 targeted players have opted in (in less than 12 hours).

Was a bit concerned about 18-20 somethin year old players forgetting about downloading an app and filling out confirmations without reminders but looks like they are just as excited too

Lets remember that up until Ed O'Bannon, no one cared about being in the game, in fact most college players loved NCAA

Yep.

The ones that do not opt in will have to watch their boys playing the game as themselves.

And if you're a bigger names guy already getting NIL it won't be a big deal to be in the game. My guess is we're going to see some of the bigger incoming freshmen think they're bigger than the world and maybe a few fringe lower NIL guys that think they're worth is far higher than it is. I bet we easily see a 90+% opt in rate.

When I played JUCO football, our S&C coach just graduated from Okie State and that’s the first thing we asked him if he was in the game.

My roommate @ LSU in the late 90's was in the game for 3 years. He was a 200lb practice squad LB. We made him 6'6" 250lbs and all 99's. He also returned punts and kickoffs.

we used to do a shared dynasty in our apartment in college, 4 roommates.

We would always create a few 5 star guys to recruit against each other. Unknown to them, I'd make a Punter with absolutely no kicking skills but 90s on everything else, easily recruit him without them knowing, and then I'd switch his position.

Chris Fowler basically just said expect any outrageous situational playcalling (ala 85 yard field goal, running the score, etc) to be called out by him and Herbie 2 years of diverse, in depth audio material

Honestly I’m really happy that Herbie is back.

Like him or not, he has been a champion for this series and gets a lot of enjoyment being in the game.

I honestly don't see why anyone would not opt in, but I guess there always is a few

I don't think there's a negotiation aspect to it either.

It's either "Here's $600" or "you're going to be WR #4 like the old days"

Some wannabe hero on the bench at Toledo that will say “that’s not fair enough compensation!!”. They’ll also say the opt out option isn’t fair because they feel pressured by EA and teammates to be in the game and when they aren’t they feel “left out”.
