Yeah the only way to prevent that is if you aren’t allowed to edit names or create players.
What if you have the same name as an opted out player? There are 11,390 FBS scholarship players. Realistically, how many do they really think will opt out?

unless they have the names that opted out blacklisted in some way, interested in what their approach will be considering RTG where you have to make a custom player.

That's what I'm thinking. Basically, if Carson Beck opts out, I'll simply have to name him Carson Cuck...which i likely would have done anyways

why would they turn down 600 bucks.. they have no power. EA can just write them out....
At the end of the day I use the True roster for what? 4 seasons? maybe 5? by then its all generated by the game anyway. I personally don't care if I have LSU's exact roster because it isn't about being able to play with Jayden Daniels (I can do that in Madden), It's about building LSU into a monster and in 2045 of my dynasty it won't matter than Nuss didnt want his name in the game
its a free 600 bucks and a copy of the game... its a win win.

It takes a long time for them to get all the audio they need.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Connors and Palmer on most games while Fowler & Herbie are reserved for “prime time” level games

They probably won’t care there honestly unless they mode isn’t in the game. Where it gets real fun is with the generated names. If you opt out and have a pretty common first name and also last name you may get randomly generated in game anyways. Hopefully all players get on board with it but you know there is always at least one stick in the mud.

Hell, if they give us back the full draft class export to Madden I may actually pick that up again too.
Also, with the name blocking thing, I think the WWE games did that with Chris Benoit. And I know their mods would remove any created wrestler uploaded to the servers that was controversial, but that seems like a hell of a job policing this game.

if this is the only game to come out (one time deal), there will be mods in the future that will bypass that. i guarantee it.
since EA manages the rosters for Madden, i bet they'll do the same for this game.
roster management was never really something i cared about. as long as the skill positions were accurate from Operation Sports, i could care less what my lineman's names were. they're unsung heroes anyway.
