Ehh I havent touched a CoD in years and when I did I never touched the campaigns. If you're wanting shooter campaigns theres definitely better games out there for it

The Battlefield games have been my favorites over the years and I've barely touched their campaigns. But MP has been top notch. But as an added offering to the MP experience, I'm just saying that COD typically delivers on a fun experience, albeit nothing earth shattering.

Lol. Have you played the new Creed or the new LOTR game yet? If so what are your opinions?

Have played neither, but I really want to try out Origins. Heard it's a good story but slow starting. Plays well but seems almost more hack and slash than an assassin game. Not sure how to feel about that but combat was never anything that drew me to the AC games.

And all I've read on Shadow of War is more of the same, which is a good thing, but it can really drag on. Lord of the Rings stuff is really tacked on with no real purpose, and of course, the loot box stuff drove people mad.

Damnit. I already bought Creed thinking it would be more like Spinter Cell with a blade in Egypt.

I bought LOTR for mass killing spree venting in case I got pissed at Creed.

I saw I got downvoted for my previous comment, but that wasn't me wishing that they cost that much. We're just fortunate that games are still the price tha they are. If you read all the horror stories about development times and grueling work schedules for some of these people, I'm really surprised we haven't seen a price hike in some time.

Agree and disagree. The market should find an equilibrium where the producers are making games/content that is profitable where consumers are happy to pay whatever cost that may be and value it appropriately.

If there is this much contention, on average, things will shift somehow. This was part of the price of chasing HD before it was cost effective to create it. Budgets have been accelerating since the Xbox/PS2 gen, and ballooned over the last two gens.

I actually do think the hesitancy of a cost raise is that games will be priced out of the target audience market. Once you get to that $100 consumer buying patterns change, even if it doesn't seem like it is that much. You know they'd be doing it if they thought they could make money that way.

I wouldn't say people are "fortunate" at all, but companies have decided that profits are better keeping core games prices at $60. Let's not act that the $60 is altruistic.

The Origins world is great and it plays great, again, from what I hear. But without playing it, I don't know if the combat bit would be a deal breaker or not.

The game is still very pay to win though, even after their limited changes the first time.

A big YouTuber put out a video a few days ago where he spends $89 for the top loot box package, and at level 15 he was able to have such a large advantage from the cards he got, he was getting 77 kills in a match where everyone else was getting 30, with 25+ kill streaks. He was unkillable all because of the 3 upgrade cards he paid for giving him like 15% extra armor, 15% extra damage, 15% extra health, etc.

good for the people who bitched and complained, and called out EA.

they lowered the price on heroes by 70%ish

Still a huge pay to win game, but cheers to the ones who actually got EA to do something. And didn't just take their bullshite and bitch about the ones who did get things done.

It isn't mass killing unless you want it to be.

Not an AC fan. But this might be the best AC. The story, setting and game play have all improved. Basically they made AC play like the Witcher 3.

Yea, Creed has always been how you want to play it. I kill everyone in site. Nobody can alert the authorities if there are no authorities.

I do enjoy killing sometimes. Then other times, if the area is designed for stealth play well, i'll sneak around.

That is great but really wanted to purchase this game for the campaign.

Has anyone talked about the campaign only being 6-7hrs long? Is this a true statement, can't find anything solid.

Gameinformer mentioned it briefly.

***Slight Spoilers ahead***

I can also say I didn’t enjoy the single-player campaign. Iden Versio’s story starts on a strong note, but quickly falls apart. For the sake of spoilers, you may want to stop reading here. EA doesn’t follow through on the promise of seeing Star Wars from a different perspective. Iden has a big change of heart that completely sucks the soul out of the experience. It ends up becoming a cookie-cutter Star Wars story that is upended even further by lengthy, player-controlled hero cameos.

It is a want to be Witcher 3.

Better?

Take all the good things with traveling on Rouche, waypoints, discovering items on the map etc and put it into AC.

AC sucks. But they didn't do too bad with this one. Thankfully by stealing ideas from CD Project Red.

I read this really takes the wind out of the sails. Stops the flow of the game just so EA can let you explore worlds they built.

Someone said it even feels like an EA tech demo placed into the game.
