Apparently these don't have a long shelf life on PC, so I think I am just going to sit this one out.
Worst part about non-competitive multiplayers on PC.
Community moves onto the next thing or back to their daily drivers in WoW, DoTA, PUBG, etc.

Games cost a lot of money and a lot of time to make, and there's no guarantee on the return. That's why it's rare when you see a developer take a risk on new IP or ideas because developing that takes even longer, and if your game tanks, that could mean the end of your studio.
Talk about really talking out of your arse. Man, it sure takes a long time to pump out those ANNUALLY RELEASED games like COD, Madden, and some form of Battlefront/Battlefield. They might update the game engine every few years, reuse the same assests, same animations, and same gameplay mechanics with minor tweaks here and there. Nine of them build those games from the ground up. What a crock of shite post
Also, When is the last time any of those games actually tanked? Games like Neir, Yakuza, even Persona barely get noticed on this board. But take a look at the annual Madden thread: They print money with little additional effort from one year to the next. But that’s not enough. Now they add a simple card mechanic so fools can get legendary players for an additional cost: So hard to program a player and lock it behind a paywall. Those poor developers.
Still waiting to see all those micro transactions in Zelda. That game took many years to develop.

I don't particularly get it either, but I have too many friends who will not play a game if it doesn't have trading cards.
Woah now. Don't be a hypocrite. Those annual releases are only annual because there are hundreds of people on multiple teams all working on the series (The developers on WWII had nothing to do with Infinite Warfare). The budgets for COD, Madden, and Battlefield are ALL easily over 100m (Madden may be just under that, but with money on advertising, it's unlikely). Games didn't cost that much to develop 10 years ago.
Whether or not you think that "enough effort" is put in or not, they still have giant teams working on them. That creates hyper inflated budgets. If everything could be done over years like Witcher 3, then costs wouldn't be so high. Instead, you have hard deadlines that require more manpower to meet them.

I can't open the link, but gamerant just tweeted this:

I mean........I've been playing devil's advocate in this thread but holy crap. Any goodwill they might have earned by adding a campaign and more robust MP they just curb stomped it with this nonsense.

I've been watching Twitch some today, and boy does the game look good. It just sucks that stuff like this is there to ruin how good the game could be. They fricked up big time.

What real changes are made in the MPer?
It was sort of boring last go round.

Then you probably aren't going to like this one either. The flying system got revamped i know of. Couple of different game modes.

How many hours is the campaign? It's the only portion I care about, but I don't want a measly 6-8 hour campaign. That's what drove me away from CoD.

There is a grand total of 324 cards. Upgrading these will require a total of 155,520 crafting parts. This requires opening a grand total of 3,111 loot crates which will require 4,528 hours of gameplay.

And Im out. I wouldn't really care to unlock all of the cards and upgrade them to full but to require 4528 hrs for somebody who does is too much. Make it require an 8th of that. Or Less. I should be done unlocking everything in the game by hour number 200.
but why would you want to fully upgrade all 324 cards? you pick the 8 or so cards that suit your play style the best and upgrade those, you can only use 3 cards at a time

I'd already have 1,000 loot crates in PUBG

Is that a typo? If the campaign is all you care about, I'd stay far away from Battlefront II. I think though that for a Star Wars fan, it'll be more entertaining than the usual garbage Dice cranks out. It's supposed to be only about 5 hours long though.

It's bad. Pathetically written and copy pasted enemies over and over

hey man, don't question some random tweet by some random video game website
forming my own opinion about the game is hard work, ok

Rumours swirling around twitter that EA is about to pull a 180, or "Xbox One". Jeff Gerstmann tweeted that the ability to buy crystals with real money has been removed.
