Did anyone actually enjoy Cyberpunk?
Posted by ThuperThumpin on 2/12/21 at 10:47 pm00
I have it on Series X but just messed around for a bit at launch. I love the Deus Ex series and the cyberpunk genre in general. Did anyone enjoy it on Next Gen consoles despite the shitty AI and bugs?

My friends who played it on PC said they really enjoyed it.
They also said it was never going to live up to the hype but now that shouldn’t exist for anyone

I was expecting something akin to deus ex. I was very disappointed. I quit playing halfway through and I can’t be bothered to go back.

Hell yeah. It was great on pc. On the other hand i was expecting a video game and not some virtual world to live in like something off of Ready Player One

I’m enjoying it on series X. About 20 hours in.

I've had to take a break from it due to just being busy/tired, but I was very much enjoying it on PC while I was playing. Though I can appreciate people on consoles or older gaming rigs would be frustrated.

It was okay, not great. I think a few items that are missing would have really increased the game play value for me.

I played it on PS4 and had few problems after initial patch. The issue I had was the linear story and lackluster ending. NPC’s were horrible, side quests were ok. No replay-ability other than a few other shitty endings really.
It was a bad-to-ok game.

I played it on PS4. So I had a lot of bugs ( the game even crashed on the End Credits smh)
However there is a good game through the bugs. It even managed to enthrall my gf who is not a gamer ( though that could've been due to Keanu reeves).
I wished I had understood quickhacking before the last 1/3 of the game. It was fun to kill people through cameras without firing a shot. I need to build another character cause some of the trophies I couldn't get because I didn't have points allocated correct ( I went the entire game without building a weapon or quickhacks).
I'd give it a 6.5, it'd probably be closer to a 9 without bugs. I'm interested in seeing if the DLC builds on the ending or if its an entire new story.

Played it on PC. It was OK. It felt like a lot of games half-assed mashed together, nothing that blew my socks off.
It was pretty damn beautiful though. But I'm also playing at 5120x1440.

The game has far deeper issues than the technical shite. The core problems are at a design level. I got a several hours in on PC and quit, hoping they can remedy some of it in a year or so. Classic “mile wide, inch deep” game.

I'm waiting for it to hit Game Pass, because I'm sure it will.

PC here. Really liked it. I ran it on an i9 and RTX 2080 Ti. Really taxed my system though. Some bugs. Good story. Was not what I was told it would be, but still a good game.

Fantastic game. Will only get better this year too with the planned upgrades. Don’t let the general consensus ruined by the bugs turn you away from it. Played on PS5.

I just started my 4th playthru going for the secret ending this time. That says a lot about me, because I don't devote my time to a game that I don't like.

I bought it a month ago and just started playing it Friday. About 16 hours in to it, playing the main story, I beat the game at level 19. Although there's a ton of side missions, I didn't realize the main story was so short.
