I reached a similar conclusion. I had a moment where I wondered why I was playing, realized this wasn’t fun anymore, and promptly turned it off.
I usually struggle with endgame content, but this one feels especially grindy for very little payoff.

I finally started a new Druid character and you can skip the campaign. That’s basically what I was wondering. I didn’t want to start all over again.

I created a Druid for S2 and am going Pulverize Werebear (yes I happened to catch a Quin69 stream and it looked fun). My issue? I do not have the legendary aspect that it mentions you need for the build on IcyVeins. Am I screwed, or just level up and hope I get it?

Actually I just realized it's non-codex so it may not be that bad. Should be good.
Also, is it me or do I no longer have to break down gear for unique transmogs? Looks like I just get the transmog once I get the gear. Maybe that was a S1 change.. I played Season of the Malignant through Battle Pass level 42 or so (25 of those Tiers were free), it was just too grindy. I'll probably get this Druid to level 50 or so like I did my Sorcereress in S1 and quit. Don't have this BP.

i made a sorc this season. I've been enjoying it so far. we'll see how far into the season I get though. This the game we should have gotten at release but live service games are going to live service game.

Just wanted to say that if youre not in season 2 youre actually missing out this season. Ball lightning and running duriel is pretty damn fun. Hope they keep adding more content like that. I hope they make the mat farming less tedious.

I just hit level 70 and the xp gains are suddenly minuscule. Pretty frustrating.
