Give it to my straight guys, is this game worth getting? I’m going on vacation and bringing my laptop and would love to play if it’s worth it. D2 one of my favorite games ever, hated D3. Thoughts?

I think it's great. I would like to see an additional tier between 85-100, more itemization stratification, and a more robust crafting system. But I really enjoy the actual gameplay and am looking forward to season 1.

I should preface this by saying this is my first Diablo game (other than messing around with the mobile game), so I can't compare it to D2 or D3. But I'm having a blast and I'm very glad I picked it up.

There's so much content so it's great, but I miss sets

yes, especially if you are a diablo fan. i think its the best entry in the series.

it has a few faults but overall i think they delivered a solid package.

Does it have sustaining power? Season 1 will be out soon. how they handle that i think will determine if this is a game that you play through once or twice or come back to frequently.

From what I saw, the season looks pretty shallow. It could be designed that way for the hardcore group that will try to get everything for all classes.

my first thought was they were trying to replicate the poe seasonal mechanics

Crowd Control being the biggest

If you are off cooldown mobs can insta-stun, freeze, scare, slow, etc you and you’ll die instantly before you can even react

There isn’t anything you can do to prevent it either - kiting doesn’t work because it may just be an add

Also no way to lock gear, no way to save advanced load outs, a bare true end game, and no advanced ordering options for gear

It’s a great game though, for real

shite, I've tried this but there are a few monsters in there that one shot me every time. I go up a level, try it, then rage quit after racking up 150k worth of repairs. Currently a lvl 68 or 69 (giggity) bone spear necro, trying to copy builds online and find gear to try again. My old arse may have to beg for some help eventually tho

How are you spec’ed? As a bone necro, by lvl 69 you should be tearing up tier 4

I’m not bragging, just trying to help, my third char is a bone necro and I soloed the capstone at 60 fairly easily.

I can give you some tips/carry you if needed. Are you in the TD clan?

Took his arse down tonight. Not sure what's whong with my build, damage is good but I am a glass cannon. Elias would one shot me as I had him down to 1/4 heath like 3 times and I'd rage quit. Damn, I used to not suck at video games. Oh well, time to farm some T4 stuff now

And I just learned how the paragon board works. I had to change it all because I didn’t get it. This is so much more involved than my Souls games I like it though

What are you folks running for endgame sorcerer build? I'm late 60s. Been lightning spec forever. I feel extra squishy but that may just be part of it
