There’s a masterpiece buried in this thing, unfortunately it’s a year or more away at this point.
Exactly how I feel...I just don't know if they'll get it all ironed out. Like Peepo said, they gotta flesh out a TON of stuff, not just a couple glitches and crashes.

I have 20 hours now and I have to say that I am loving it. Only issue I have ran into (Xbox series S) is I needed to close the game twice and re-open due to audio issues. The dialogue volume would drop significantly. I did find this would happen when I would leave the game on and leave it at the character screen for about an hour while I cooked or something.
Other than that it's been smooth sailing. I am also used to some enemies being goofy but I played Fallout/Skyrim before.
I have not been this motivated to keep playing a game since the Witcher 3/Bloodborne/Breath of the Wild.

I also had low dialogue volume, but it was because the audio settings on my Series X defaulted to 7.1 Surround Sound even though I'm only playing through the TV stereo speakers.
You should check the Xbox audio settings and see if it is set correctly.

When you take a second to realize how big the city and surrounding areas are, and how much is packed into it, it’s really hard for me to gripe much at this stage. Even playing on my PS4.
Think about the scope for a second. Everything you’re used to in GTA or RDR, that’s all rendered on a much smaller scale. Now EVERYTHING in the world is scaled to a realistic size. AND the game is still incredibly in depth and detailed.
I mean, what game even comes close to what they’ve even already accomplished? And you know they’re gonna be patching this thing for maybe years.

I mean it played normally for 10 hours then randomly it did that. Maybe that is happening but a quick restart of the game and it's good to go. Just a 5 min delay with how fast it moves.

Im on PC with a 2080TI. 7.5/10 with bugs.
The core is there to be epic. If they ever release a modding suite, GG.
I feel sorry for console people.

I'm on PC. I've had a few problems with sound issues and enemies detecting me even though I'm crouched behind a wall or alone inside a room (I play mostly stealth) with all the cameras disabled. Nothing game breaking. Got stuck a few times and took damage while stuck on a obstacle.

I am not reading then entire thread. Can someone tell me if it would be a mistake to buy this game? I have an XB1x.

i'd wait until next-gen versions if i were you

If waiting is an option I'd vote to wait till at least February if you want all the promised stability and improvement patches they've announced. It's a good game but the occasional crashes and numerous graphical glitches and stuff do mar the experience. Next gen consoles will also run it better too, although we don't know the release date of those versions yet.

I plan on getting a series x pretty soon and I have no plans on getting this game until at least the first patch is released and I'll probably wait for the 2nd one before pulling the trigger.

As most reviewers mentioned, the main story line is shorter than you would expect from this type of game. I'm at about ~35 hours playtime and am reaching the endgame (you get a "point of no return" warning just like in Witcher 3 before you initiate the final questline) and I'm a pretty slow player, I stop and look around and loot and explore. I'd say I've spent maybe 75% of my time on the main quest and 25% doing side stuff. I'm still gonna do several more of the significant feeling side quests before I do the final quest, as I think what side stuff you do can effect the ending potentially. But if you wanna try to do EVERYTHING then you're talking 100+ hours. There are multiple zones I've still done basically nothing in.
Since the game was built with replay value in mind, the main storyline being shorter makes sense. You can probably knock out a playthrough in 10-15 hours once know the lay of the land and want to get a different ending.

Game unfortunately had WAY too much hype. And they removed a lot of features supposedly.

Yikes, tells me the refund request rate is high enough they have no other option.
It's going to be a very tough slog back for CDPR from a perception standpoint. People put up the long dev cycle and swirl of negativity surrounding Cyberpunk because CDPR had built up a lot of good will with how they supported the Witcher 3, but all that disappeared in an instant.
Reputations are hard to build and easy to lose.

All of this is a very good reason why Rockstar is slow to do GTA VI. Why put yourselves out there? You can make a great game, but if it doesn't fully deliver on ALL the hype people will get pissed. Not to mention, as we're seeing, that things that take advantage of new hardware look terrible on the previous generation of consoles - and that's what most folks are still going to own.

There's a difference between not delivering on all the hype and what Cyberpunk did. I'm still playing it and having fun, but when you tell people it will be immersive as all hell and the rest of it and the environment is less interactable than GTA III... people are gonna have issues. Hell, Skyrim in all it's bug filled glory has better NPC's than Cyberpunk, and that was released a decade ago.

You're not wrong, and considering how long this game has been in development it's hard to understand why there isn't more to it. Bugs I can get (if you're constantly having to port over to newer systems), but the lack of content seems weird to me. I'd love to know what was going on behind the scenes. The mainstory and side jobs are great (even if the main feels short), but once you get past those it's definitely lacking.
I will say the voice acting for the main cast is great. I've encountered a few games where terrible voice acting ruined it for me, and I haven't really encountered that here.
Things I wished they had done more:
1. Improved driving (Motorcycles are fine, but cars are rough)
2. If driving is improved, more vehicle related quests (only a few races, and the combat aspect of those races seems pointless)
3. Add more in-depth side jobs
4. Make gigs a bit less repetitive.
5. More NPC interactions. Having the ability to discuss things with random NPCs, and more than just one liners would be nice.
6. More NPC depth after mission completion. (I played Female V for my first play through and romanced Judy. It would be nice once that was done that going to her apartment meant more than getting the same voice lines than I get when I call her on the phone). Would also love more things with characters like Izzy Lizzy, Ozob, etc.
That said, it definitely suffers from No Man's Sky syndrome.
