I don’t know any of the songs by name but it’s one of the best OSTs in gaming history. It was number 1 on classical billboards for a month straight after its release.
I think the song for the final boss is absolutely downright amazing. The way it is a blend of the main battle song, the original Renoir battle theme , and Gustaves theme all together and then at the crescendo the games main theme comes blasting into focus but this time instead of piano and violins its blasting using guitars and bass.

Started a NG+2 last night.
Maelle was a fricking tank in the battle system tutorial. Holy shite.
Poor Gustave could only hit 9,999 damage and I couldn't access any skills or change attributes.
Damn fight took almost an hour.

it is a great sound track. I am always harping on how soundtracks can make or break a game for me. This one will always stick with me.
my wife who hasn't even played the game legit will listen to gestral summer party because it makes her happy

After 4 days of misery…Clea is down lol
I’m stubborn and didn’t want to do 1 shot builds or 1 HP builds. Finally folded and did a 1 HP build with Monoco only and combined with near perfect parrying and it did the trick

No idea why you're throwing shade at DS2. They're both great games. However, for me personally, I'd probably lean towards DS2 being a better overall game, mostly because I think there's a substantial drop-off in quality in E33 in the Third Act.

Man I kinda feel bad for the amount of hype Sandfall is going to have for their next release. There’s no way it can live up to expectations after this. I hope it’s not like Cd projekt red and the amount of hype surrounding cyberpunk after how great Witcher 3 was and it ended up being a catastrophe. It’s a good game now but still nowhere near Witcher 3 IMO

Not throwing shade at DS2. They aren’t my type of game but I respect the originality of the game and its visuals etc. Gameplay just isn’t it for me.
I’m really referring to the amount of user reviews on metacritic that were made by DS2 fans trying to tank EX33 ratings in hopes of boosting DS2 GOTY chances.

That's unfortunate. I feel like there are a lot of similar posters in r/Expedition33 that just rage against all things DS2 when anyone mentions DS2 is also a GOTY contender.

Do I think EX33 is game of the year? Sure. Do I think DS2 is a game of the year contender and could possibly win it? Absolutely.
