BF already went futuristic with 2042, I don't think they'll go back.

Crazy to think 7-10 years ago I would've been on CoD's side defending them and wanting no part of Battlefield. They're so right, frick CoD.

Okay, they can flex nuts all they want but if they put spaceships and lasers in BF5 I'm out.

i never thought this moment would happen. The 3 of us. Sitting around on the interwebs anxiously waiting the next Battlefield premiere, while bashing the latest COD premiere.

Oh what tangled webs we weave. I remember us three wrecking shite on a squad playing BLOPS 1. Sad times indeed.

I've been a lifelong supporter of the Battlefield series. I stopped buying CoD after Black Ops. Looking back through the years, Battlefield has always held a much higher ground in terms of innovation and enjoyment through the years.

Hardline is on sale for $10 on the PS store. Is it worth a buy? I play BF4 maybe 2 hours a week. What does Hardline do that BF4 doesn't?

Hmmm....

So Hardline gets a ton of hate from most of the Battlefield diehard's. And for good reason. When it first launched it had minimal content.

Yes Yes. Open maps. Same multiplayer engine, match making, etc, etc. But it's essentially Cops vs Robbers. So all the guns, gadgets, classes are setup to play off of that concept.

If you go into it expecting a revolutionary change from BF4 in graphics and multiplayer improvements. You'll hate it. But if you go into thinking it's basically an enormous DLC for BF4. Then you'll enjoy it. A lot of new game types. Guns and gadgets on smaller maps. Still have Conquest, TDM, no Rush. No tanks or heavy armored vehicles. Just cars, choppers, and bikes.

Problem is. The player count on PS4 and PC are extremely low. Most are still playing BF4, waiting on BF5. XBONE has a decent player count.

I'm not the biggest fan of Hardline. I don't know what it is, but I can't get too into it. I'd much rather play BF4.

But, for $10, sure. It's worth that if you want something different while maintaining a lot of the same things you want from Battlefield.

I also saw that for this week they are giving away free DLC packs for both BF4 and Hardline. I think Dragon's Teeth is free for BF4 (that's actually one of the best DLC's) and Robbery for Hardline.

ETA: The maps in Hardline are beautiful, though. That museum map is legit.
