pre-xpac week 1 was a disappointment, but its letting me get upgrades on alts I haven't played a lot, so im ok with it.
Pretty much this.
I play Alliance on Whisperwind. Looking at maining either Hunter, Warlock, or Deathknight in BFA.
Darnassus/Teldrassil burning has kinda got me in the feels. I remember strolling up to Darnassus on my level 10 hunter 14 years ago.

What did you guys think of the Warcraft movie?
I found it really enjoyable. Well done with decent CGI. It felt Warcraft to me.

I enjoyed it a lot. Just wish they did the Arthas storyline instead of Orcs vs. Humans.
It's much easier to get a non-Warcraft audience to get behind or understand a fallen prince, than a chieftain.

Same, it wasn't a perfect movie or anything but really entertaining from someone who has loved that universe for such a long time.

I think it was speculated that they wanted to keep later story lines open for sequels. I'm with you though, Arthas/LK storyline would be awesome for big screen.

Would of enjoyed the Arthas movie as well. But Metzen was never going to let the first movie not be about Green Jesus.
I still enjoyed it. Not perfect at all, but not the worst game to movie adaptation by a long LONG shot.

Horrible casting for almost all the human characters.
Mortal Kombat is still my favorite video game movie adaptation, but Warcraft was decent. Hopefully, due to its success in China, we will see a sequel.
I feel like it only made sense to start at the very beginning, but I can understand how fans hoping for a World of Warcraft movie were disappointed with what they got.

quote:Immediately felt it in the 60-80 leveling range. Now I can actually pull more than 2 mobs on my mage without having to blow defensive cooldowns to barely survive.
Can confirm they nerfed mob hp by 24% for all baddies 1-100. That helps with leveling.
quote:I played mainly Horde for most of Legion until I got my gf to join and she wanted to play a damn Gnome. Swapped what I was maining (DK) to Alliance at that point. As it stands I have 110's ready to go on both sides. I'll probably end up maining my Void Elf Mage because I really like how Frost feels right now and I'm intrigued with the Void Elf side of the story. That said I always keep my Warlock somewhat caught up so I'll be experiencing the Horde side of things too.
For everyone planning to play BFA what faction will you play?

Gaming is cyclical between MMO's and FPS (including MOBAs in that category). Currently FPS is all the rage and probably will be for a while because of their innovation.
EQN looked extremely promising. The world made of voxels was a lot of fun, I can't begin to describe how often I tunneled just because I could. I didn't care for their "worlds" though, I would have rathered a full sandbox instead of the phases they created. If they had been able to get their AI off the ground and it performed like they hopes, it would have been revolutionary.
Anyone wanting to be the next WoW or EQ should be looking at those two things to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.

I disagree with this. It's just developers cashing in on a trend. They money is in Battle Royal games now. I won't say we'll never see another MMORPG, but big name studios don't seem to have any interest anymore.
Most of the classic MMORPG developers are either bankrupt or near there, so I doubt we'll be seeing new games from them.

Remember when Sylvanas was just an untrustworthy ally and not a mustache twirling Bond villain? Those were the days.

Extremely disappointed with the ending to the Teldrasil quest line.

Seems like you're not alone. Half the player base seems to dislike it.
Blizzard better hit with BFA. A lot that has played the beta really like it though.

I mean aren't we done in Darkshore/Teldrassil? From what I understand the focus is going to be towards Lordaeron next week, no?

The genre has died for me as I've gotten older. I'm not even married and I don't have time to play. I can't imagine what it's like for married people or those with kids.
Back when I was younger and could just completely veg out it was amazing though. The genre just wore on me after awhile. To me the games are too shallow in general. Raid lockouts and RNG to keep you spinning the loot wheel and renewing your subscription. Hop on hop off games are the future.
