I debate if this is cheating or not but my 7 year old is playing on his and can't save money so basically I'm sharing funds with him.

My 4YO can't save worth a damn either

I told him to pick out something he wanted that was moderately expensive. He wanted bigger pockets (5K miles for the first upgrade). He's not good with numbers yet so I drew him a simple bar chart on a whiteboard with a static line at 5K, and then I'd basically update it any time he gained or spent miles.

I told him he could spend miles on anything he wanted but that he wouldn't get bigger pockets until he crossed that 5K line. He blew a few Ks on mystery islands and other stuff before it kinda clicked with him. I even tempted him with a 3K item at one point (don't remember what it was) and he said "no daddy, I'm saving."

He worked on the miles for a few days until he had enough to get the pocket upgrade and he was super excited when he reached his goal. Then he did it again for the 2nd upgrade (8K miles).

Good lessons to teach.

EDIT: I left out the funny part. After each upgrade he basically did the "Grab 1" option on some stacks of tree branches until he had filled his pockets completely with slots of single stackable items. He was so happy with the extra space that he didn't notice me laughing my arse off.

Turnips at 106 this morning. I just bought 2100. House is fully built out so I'm not in a crunch for cash right now.

What’s the timeline for turnips? I will pretty much never be able to play this game other than the hours of 8pm-5am so I’m going to miss a lot I suppose

Bought mine this morning at 91 a turnip. I think I bought 6000.

I'm still waiting on Flick to show up so I can sell all of these damn tarantulas that are now in my bathroom since I had to clear space for my turnips in my basement

I noticed a boat parked off the back of my island today. Who is that?

I couldn’t enter it.

It's the art dealer guy. Buy the first painting and donate it to the museum and you can open your art wing. Be careful after because he also sells fakes. There's websites you can check for the real VS fake.

Look for a fox looking guy walking around your island

Note that if you aren't terrascaping yet you may have to use the ladder to get to his boat.

It's the last home expansion. You have the upstairs then the basement left. Save up your bells. That's all I'll say
