I bought my first batch of turnips today, do I have to hold them?
I tried putting them in storage at the house but it wouldn't let me.

You have to sell them by next Sunday, I believe. Or else they spoil. That's the way I understand it

You can drop them on the floor in your house until you are ready to sell. I have 39 piles in my front room just waiting for the right sell price. I bought at 95 bells each.

Also do not time travel while you have them - if you do there is a high chance your turnips will spoil from that as well.
I just drop my turnips in my backyard... I hate cluttering up my house
ETA: it really depends on the high and low. My island has had a 400+ bell week, but I usually sell in the mid-100 range

Don't buy turnips from a European friend if it's before 5AM on Sunday your time. Had a friend erupt on discord this morning after he found 16000 turnips spoiled this morning.

Cranny upgrade construction day is today. So everyone that started on release day and played legit have their stores under construction.

You aren't able to build Nooks Cranny legitimately until day 2-3 I thought. So that would mean tomorrow or Wednesday is the first legit day, right?

Positive - my island achieved a five star rating today and I unlocked the golden watering can.
Negative - It took planting hundreds of flowers that will take a shite ton of time to water daily.

I'm not sure. She's been evaluating mine for about two weeks and telling me what I need more of (fencing, flowers) and she'll tell me what others in the town are complaining about (too many items on the ground).

It only took me like 4 hours in all - but my soccer field is complete... ish, I'm sure I'll continue to make upgrades to it
