About a week is when it noticeably opens up. If you play consistently and get all the tasks done the day they are given to you.

Finally paid that bastard Tom Nook off. That last home expansion payment was a doozy 
Now I can focus completely on customizing my island, fishing, completing the museum and the stalk market

i just paid off the initial 5000 miles for getting to the island and i get my house tomorrow. i think it's cool how it sync's up with your time where you are. i don't get why you'd want to jump through it

They will just spawn out in the town somewhere.

Caught my first barreleye and coelacanth in the same day 
Edit: just got back from an awesome hybrid-flower/big-fish mystery island too. Landed two new kinds of flowers, snagged over 90K in fish (would've gotten more but I need to get to bed), and got the 100 Cast Master achievement. Paid off my third room loan and started construction on my second floor too. Damn good day.

Turnips were at 91 on my island today. Bought around 525k worth and filled my basement up with them

What does that island look like? I keep getting thos spiral island that appears like just a normal island with your native fruit.

Yeah no word on the new store yet. I got it on release as well.

This is the best way to play the game. If you sell at the perfect time this week, you'll make millions.

This is a game changer for those who are closing in. The items get much better once Nooks expands. He usually has one or two decent things per day + the outdoorsy tools.

The one I found was three-tiered with two waterfalls. The pond did NOT connect to the sea, if I recall correctly. It had hybrid varieties of one of my native flowers. Most importantly, every fish shadow was big (not hard to realize because the pond/waterfall system was fairly small so all the fish were spawning very close to each other).

My son read about the time travel and getting the interest last night so he did it
Good news is at least the upgraded nooks cranny is being upgraded, bad news is I have a bunch of tarantulas I planned on selling this morning to get more turnips. We had a stern discussion about him altering the game last night. I don't care if others do it, I just don't want my island doing it.
