Also eggs are mixed in with the medium shadow fish. I just scare those off and only fish small or large.

I don't care about the excuses, but you are actively manipulating the game. You are selling on time skipped islands and just said you time skip yourself. If that is what you want to do, go for it. You are cheating the game though.

Is there anyway to get iron nuggets? I have like 3 rocks only on my island and I need 10 for the shop

NMT islands have rocks, you should get a rock each day til you have 6 on your island. Are you making sure to dig holes behind you to make sure you get all 8 stones out of a rock?
If you break a rock, it will come back the next day, but only one will come back. So if you break all 6, it will take 6 days for them to come back. You can move your rocks this way, they don't come back in the same spot.

Make sure all 8 tiles are clear surrounding the rock with no weeds or items before you start hitting a rock and put two holes behind you like this and it ensures you can hit the rock 8 times and get all items out of it.

I've sold turnips that way once. The first time I skipped for the museum, it rotted my turnips.
Last week I sold them in my town at 164. In all I've made way more off of tarantula islands. Close to a million bells in doing it three times.
The process is as simple as skipping ahead a day, triggering the build and going back to normal time. If time skipping to get things open sooner is cheating the game, I am sorry. Honestly I'm happy with the bigger Nooks though.

I have hardly played the last few days aside from starting bridges/ramps and doing the islands. The event has definitely screwed up the flow of the game.
ETA - advice for those just starting would be make sure to check the shop at city hall daily for new KK Slider albums.

KK Slider is a dog who shows up to perform concerts every Saturday night.
If you have a record player in your house, you can purchase his albums, register the album and play the song. You can also hang them on your wall if you don't want to register the album. If you go to his concerts, he'll ask you what music you want and after he's done he gives you the album for the song he just played.

Also to new players - expand your storage ASAP using the ABD machine. First is the pocket organization guide for 5,000 miles, then the ultimate pocket stuffing upgrade for 8,000 miles It's worth the Nook Miles and allows you to make more bells much faster. It increases your storage from 20 to 40.

I don't need to sell turnips but what's your native fruit? Our trees bloomed today. I'll bring any fruit that you need.
One non native fruit = 1500 bells per tree every few days. Worth planting as many as possible early.

my native tree is oranges - I have just over 60 non-native trees planted on my island, and all 4 of the non-native. Thanks for the offer though

Another tip - if you see the golden glowing marks that have a 1k bell bag in it, bury the bag in that hole and a bell tree will grow that produces 1k bell bags.
