I'm wondering if they tie Skyward Sword into this game. There were slight Fi noises in the BotW when you get the Master Sword.

Special edition OLED version is $360 and doesn't include the game

Looks amazing and that they really doubled down on general creativity.
Fused weapons look way fun.

A little disappointed that there was no mention of if dungeons are the same or different in this one

100% pure speculation, and I think someone might have mentioned this in another thread here...
Skyward Sword is supposed to be the beginning of all Zelda timelines, and Breath of the Wild is supposed to be the merging and end of all Zelda timelines.
The logo of this game is an ouroboros, the symbol of eternal cyclic renewal.
The theory is that the end of this game is going to be the beginnings of Skyward Sword, where the sky islands from this game are going to end up becoming the sky islands in Skyward Sword, and it all ties together.

I loved the first game but I’m pretty worried about this one after the other trailers + this. I just can’t stand how Nintendo hides what the game is actually played like. We have no idea what you even do in the game. No idea if there’s new types of shrines, dungeons, or whatever.
In BOTW the experience was spent:
-doing 120+ shrines
-doing divine beasts, essentially dungeons, and their surrounding missions
-exploring this map we’d never been to
So far, we know the Sheikah shrines are gone, they haven’t confirmed dungeons of any kind, and it’s the same map with some (minimal, based on analysis of the trailers) changes to the landscape, plus a handful of pretty small sky islands.
I’m not saying it will for sure be bad but they haven’t showed anything that makes me excited yet. I played a ton of BOTW and know the map by heart. If “exploration” is the selling point again this might be a disappointment. B

So are weapons breaking or not in this one

Yes, it looked like the same durability system in the gameplay they showed today.

Yea, they showed in the footage that there's still weapon durability, but that you can craft weapons on the fly, literally using whatever's around you or in your inventory to get around this issue.

Get the Master Sword.
It doesn't last forever, but it doesn't break and it recharges to full strength after a bit.
Forcing myself to do the Trials of the Sword for the first time in forever, and hating life while I do it.

I don't mind the weapons durability, I just don't want to have to get naked every time there is lightning

Not going to lie, I also found this more annoying

I saw at least one triple fused weapon, the boat was five items, the sky boat was six... I wonder what the max for fusing is? Ice fire lightning homing bomb arrows would be six...

I hated not being able to climb any time it rained. Looks like the ability to warp through ceilings fixes this somewhat in the new game.

I'm more curious what the justification is to take away my maxed out Master Sword, fairy-maxed armor and all my other sweet gear from BOTW. NGL, kind of annoyed to go back to tree branches and pitchforks
I'm assuming Ganon goes Hiroshima on Hyrule and undoes progression from BOTW? Is TOTK Link the same dude as BOTW Link? Another time skip? Glad they didn't spoil any of that. Gonna avoid gaming channels from here on out to stay unaware.
Anyways, already pre-ordered. Nintendo could poop in a box and write "Zelda" in dookie-smear on the front and I'm in. My early summer is already set.

My wife asked me earlier “so you get to keep all the stuff you got in the other game?”
“I don’t think so. It’s a brand new game.”
“Well that’s dumb.”
Yes it is, honey. Yes it is.
I need to preorder this game. One of the few things my teenager still does with me is play Zelda.

Definitely getting this day 1.

Same. And the crafting stuff does look pretty cool, like customizing the arrows. Those who complained BOTW wasn't a Zelda game are probably going to hate this even more

Oh, and some of the music you could hear was the same, I surely hope that's not the case when it's released.

I want to fuse a long stick to a long stick to a long stick to a long stick to a pitchfork with a bomb on the end and poke an enemy from 50 feet away.
