Already closed down? No vehicles, signs on door and landscaping is atrocious.

I think the ones in BR will close soon. The Millerville location always looks dead.

The one in Lafayette didnt last long.
It was in a bad location (access was restricted due to long term road construction) but still not a good sign.
It's unfortunate because their salads are excellent for a fast food place.

I go there from time to time and they are always having problems. One time only the drive through was open for some reason and another time the fire alarm started going off while I was dining in. Neither the manager nor workers knew how to turn it off. When I left 10 minutes later it was still going off. That was the last time, even though i prefer Zaxbys to Canes.

Because the time or two I have eaten there, in my opinion, they didn’t offer a better product, price or service. And to think you would set up shop in Cane’s backyard and think you are going to win, I think that was a little bit of overzealous on their part.

They have a more extensive menu is pretty much their only competitive advantage. It's not working in this market though. I rarely see 5 cars in the lot at the Millerville location. The Canes right up the road on S Harrells Ferry does tons of business.

I've tried it once while I was working in Kentucky and thought the wings were terrible. I'll never try another one again anywhere.

Wife stops and gets the salads at the Antioch/Airline location when we don’t feel like cooking. Really good fast food salad.

I was surprised when they went so heavily into Cane's territory, Cane's has stayed out of Birmingham because Zaxby's is strong there. I can't eat anything at Cane's because I'm on keto, at least Zaxby's has wings and salads.
My wife's eats at Cane's, one time I made the mistake of bringing her Zaxby's tenders, she ate a couple and threw the rest out.

For me, it's mainly the sauces and the seasoned fries. I don't care for Cane's sauce (gasp!) so always choose Zaxby's over them. It's nice to have the option to get a salad or sandwich too.

The wings used to be pretty decent too. There used to be reasons to go to Zaxby's over Cane's. There were reasons to go to Cane's over Zaxby's.
Now, the management of Zaxby's has gotten so bad, that there is very little reason to go there. French fries are pretty much the only reason I ever would. The quality at just about every location has gone so far downhill, that I just avoid them now.

FWIW, canes does do salads and breakfast in their airport locations
I wish they would offer salads at their regular restaurants too.
