Zaxby's -just tried for a second time

First time I went, I just had the fingers and they sucked. They didn't come close to Cane's, and I never went back.
I kept hearing people talking about their salads and sandwiches. I thought they were crazy.
MsAntiquetiger wanted a good salad for lunch today, so I decided to try Zaxby's one more time.
She had the Bleu salad and I had the Kickin' Chicken sandwich.
They were both damn good.
The kickin chicken sandwich is a buffalo chicken with bleu cheese dressing.
Go ahead, slam away.

I went once outside Atlanta. The table we sat at first was covered in ants. The chicken was overcooked, and the spiciest sauce they had tasted like a kid’s menu. Not a fan, but I haven’t given it another chance.

I agree about the fingers being subpar. I don't like their sauce much either. Their fries are better than Canes imo.

Went once, I have a large family, needless to say I dropped coin that one time. NEVER AGAIN! Not one of my kids nor my wife had anything positive to say about the smorgasbord of items we ate. Simply disgusting.

My daughter loves Canes and didn't care for Zaxbys much either.

I agree, the fingers suck, as well as the "Cane's" sauce, but the salad is damn good and pretty damn big.

I do like cane’s chicken, I am not a fan of the sauce. I will doctor it up or just use ketchup. The crinkle fries are just okay as I am a big fan of steak fries and sweet potato fries. I do like the bread and the slaw is standard for fast food joints.

The first time I took SO to Zaxby’s she did not like it. She likes it now, she really likes the Zaxs sauce. I’ve always liked it.
We don’t have Canes here but ate at one last year in LA and did not think it was very good. But, one visit is not enough to make a final conclusion.

I don't get the hate. I can understand having a preference for Raising Canes, but to come out and say this other place is disgusting and inedible makes no sense. I have been a handful of times. It's a chicken finger. It's cheap. It is what it is. And, yes, their Zalads are probably their best item.

There is no hate and I am not comparing to canes. However, my family kept hearing how great Zaxby’s is and wanted to try. So, on our vacation we passed one and all the kids said let’s go. I, never been said okay. It’s me posting the overall results that it was disgusting. My wife felt nauseated and my kids did not completely finish their meals.just reporting what happened. Not just my personal experience but an entire family.

Zaxby's isn't amazing, but I've never been in a fast food place that had ants.

I have found most fast food varies by the location. Wife and I have stopped at the Zaxby's in Daphne, AL numerous times on our way to and from Florida and have always been happy with the food and the service.

Myself and the kids will eat at the Rouses location and it's always solid. Nothing to wow you but consistent. The one thing I have found is that it is usually dead in there. Rarely more than 3 tables full.

I find it expensive for what it’s worth. 5 Chicken strips and fries for 9.66. But what the heck, people keep paying and they keep opening up all over the South.
