I was driving back to the Atlanta airport from lake keowee and we stopped there for lunch. I didn’t look at a list of ant infested places to pick a lunch spot.

Their grilled Cajun chicken sandwich is amazing. I use to hate Zaxby's as well because I was so use to Cane's. I've really come around on them though. I like their fries a lot better than Cane's as well. Cane's still has the edge on tenders, bread, and sauce, but Zaxby's definitely has some better offerings than Cane's as well.

I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did. There was never anyone there.

I like Zaxbys.

When I'm in the mood for buffalo wings and don't feel like going to a sit down restaurant, it hits the spot. Their combo with wings, toast, and fries is legit.

This!!

It's chicken fingers, so I'm not exactly looking for a gourmet meal. But I feel like I might have a stroke after eating Zaxby's. To me it's just a giant salt bomb.

Yeah, it was in a weird location. Not convenient to get to all especially with the ongoing road construction on Verot

I went once. I asked if I could substitute my cole slaw for an extra sauce and the woman working told me no so I drove off and went to Canes.

Zaxby’s Zensational Zalad is great, but it’s available only a few weeks a year.

Why does Cane's even offer slaw? Who doesn't trade it for extra toast ?

The Zaxbys On Hwy 30 On Gonzales has the BEST wings! Probably the best Zaxbys location in the state. Food always fresh, and friendly staff.

as well as the "Cane's" sauce,

Don't quote me on this as fact. But Zaxby's is a spin off from an Auburn, AL place called Guthrie's. Guthrie's started in the early 80s. Guthrie's had sauce similar to Zaxby's.

Cane's wasn't founded until the mid 1990s.

I don't care which sauce you like better, I'm simply saying that in all reality Cane's sauce is a spin off of Guthrie's and neither cane's nor Zaxby's was the original.

Guthrie's is good chicken fingers, just always a poorly run business. Pothead employees that took forever as it was "made to order", they basically only had the chicken finger box, etc. So the growth was limited until someone took the idea and made Zaxby's.

I never had any interest in going there but my sister dragged me there one day. I got one of the salads and I really liked it. If I go to a fast food place for a salad that's where I'll go.
