So in recollection of the event Saturday, what was your favorite beer overall at the fest?

My vote goes to La Homebrew's Hop Juice DIPA. It was fantastic and happened to be the 1st beer i had there. On the downside, it kind of ruined any other IPA's or pale ale's i had that day due to the amount of hops.

Also, it was good meeting some of you in person.

Pretty much everything at the LA homebrew tent was great. I raally like the blueberry sour and the inperial red.

I was posted up pretty much between the la homebrew and brasseur tent. Meant to go try some Old Rail, and Mystic Krewe but forgot that i wanted to go there.

I thought the nutella porter at Restick Homebrew was pretty good. I also had a coffee stout there that was tasty.

I didn't make my rounds nearly as well as I did last year. Loved BMoney's Dank as F*ck and LA Homebrew's blueberry sour.

That was my 2nd brew. So after the hop juice, my palate was pretty much wrecked for IPA's after that.

I drank too much beforehand and needed to slow myself down. I didn't have much at all inside the festival.

Yeah, same. I had beer at the festival, but pre-gaming definitely made me a little tipsy and not as interested in making my rounds as I would have been sober.

I drank too much inside and didn't slow down afterwards.

Came here to post this. It was extremely good.

I also really enjoyed the citra IPA.

Tried a black grapefruit session IPA from LA homebrew, which I didn't even know was possible, but it was pretty meh.

I like that Tin Roof brought a bunch of different beers. Tried their king cake killa, and it was much better than I was expecting. Then I tried one of their sex magic beer with chile pepper and I immediately poured it out.

Probably the least amount I've drank at a beerfest. Maybe tried 5 of Brasseurs' beers and 3 of LAHomebrew's and 2 of them were our own.

Had 2 commercial beers. Santa Fe Java and Cocoa Mole.

Almost a shame because being able to try all or most of the homebrew beers in a more relaxed spread out time frame would have been nice.

I really think I only tried 2 beers inside, just because I was huddled under a tent during the rain.

I thought my favorite was the Black IPA from the Brasseur's tent, but I found out later that it might've been mislabeled. I might've drinking a vanilla stout, but it was delicious.

What makes Ghost in the Machine such a hit? Tasted like every other super hoppy beer I've ever had. It tasted like weed smells.

Yeah, it seemed very rushed. Maybe next year they can extend hours. Maybe 2-6? rather than 330-6. Also, maybe they can spread it out a little bit. Seemed very packed in.

I agree.... I didn't try many brasseries beers due to that area being so packed. I don't really know what areas they could expand it to but it'd help for sure

One of my friends was really raving about the Hard Dickson Cider.

They've needed to spread it out for several years.

Time wise, I think it's a pretty good length. I know our club would always start running out of beer an hour or so before it was over, with only one or two beers making it the whole time. I'm not sure if Brasseurs or Redstick have that problem since they have a much larger beer count.

Also, can you imagine having four hours of straight drinking? People would be falling down as they were leaving. It's hard enough to make it through without getting stupid.

Are any of the LA Homebrew beers for sale anywhere?

We were running pretty thin by the end of it.

Brew At The Zoo was longer than Zapp's and we were completely empty before it was over. Even with 30ish beers.
