I went to Kroger yesterday and checked them.

$5.99 a six. Just like Bud and Miller, etc.

SNPA, Sweetwater, Terrapin, etc. were $8.99 a six.

In a previous Yuengling thread I said I'd check it out. I admit I was wrong.

i've only had it on tap a few times when i was on business on the east coast. never knew how much a six pack costs. i still wouldn't buy a six pack even if it sells for for the same price as bud/miller/coors. i just didn't like the beer very much.

Hey Tigertown, which K-roger? Mine has been running Blue Moon 12's for $12.99. Other craft brews were $8.99/6 pack.

Hit Wally yesterday and scored a 12 pk. of XX for $11.99 and bought a case. Gotta shop for your brew around here lest you pay way too much.

Interesting.

I'd still go for Terrapin or Sweetwater though.

I know case prices weren't the same on Yuengling vs. BMC in Pensacola, but they were close enough that we bought Yuengling for the cheap canned beer supply.

i think there was a debate on here recently, where some were claiming that Yuengling wasn't that much cheaper than craft beer and, for that price, you might as well buy craft beer. others were arguing that it was much cheaper than craft, and more in line with the pricing of bud/coors/miller (and, thus, a much better alternative to those at a similar price point). my guess is that this is a followup on that debate, but i could be off.

I've said this numerous times on this board, for the money I really like Yuengling bottles and cans. It is cheap as shite. I see it compared to craft beers on this board too much. It shouldn't be. It's nowhere near that good.

Ah so....

Agreed. And taxes are what is driving much of the price increases....as you all are aware.

Yes, that was mostly me, and I was fessing up that at least where I went, it was $3 a six cheaper, and I was wrong.

Thanks for reporting back. I was hoping this update was to report that Louisiana was getting Yuengling. Oh well, back to PBR for my cheap mass consumption needs.

@ Kennesaw Total Wine:

Yuengling Traditional Lager 24-12oz Cans
$17.99.

That's cheap. Unfortunately I do not care for it. The black & tan is aight, not great. Definitely not in the craft brew category.

Had a Southern Tier "Harvest" last night, quite awesome and very DFH 90 minute-like.

For sure. One of the guys working there turned me onto Legado Blanco tequila for making margaritas as a fill-in for el Jimador and he also pointed to a sub for 15 yr Macallan that was nearly $20 cheaper. That place is the tits, it even has 1/6 kegs of DFH 90.

I just wished they sold it in Louisiana.
I like this beer, I'd take it over regular domestics any day.
