Your City is quarantined starting Sunday

It will likely be 30 days of very little public movement etc
What restaurants and bars will you be hitting up to hold you over? As in to cure a potential craving that may arise later.
Day trip somewhere, or staying in your local area?

I mean I guess I would at the store with everyone else stocking up on essentials to last 30 days.

I’m not heading to a restaurant. I’ve already stocked the freezer and fridge, and I have probably a three month supply of dry goods. I’d likely hit up the farmers market for fresh produce. Would also be strategizing with the neighbors to share leftovers to prevent meal boredom.
Am also gonna go look for my crawfish nets...if I get a craving, I know I can take care of that myself.
Pandemic is proving that well prepared rural life isn’t such a bad thing.

I agree with you, but to be fair, nothing has been proven yet.

I have 2 deep freezers full of meat. Stocked up on rice and beans. I went to the store today to "prep" I bought lots of beer, some can veggies, and chocolate for the pregnant wife.
I'm good for a while

I’m not talking about prepping.
Talking about a good meal before “house arrest”

City life ain't so bad, either. I've got six kegs of beer, a shite load of rice and kimchi from the corner Asian store, and gummy multivitamins.

What a retarded thread. This would be stupid even on the OT.

There's no quarantining this virus. We will all be exposed to this just like chicken pox and will need to let it run its course. Cancelling NBA games will have no impact on the spreading. Get out and live and enjoy life without being scared. Everything will be ok.

Does Corona make the power go out??

Umm, no. But if extreme quarantine measures are put into place, I'm prepared. The crawfish net comment was a joke....but I've been quarantined at home since returning from northern Italy, so perhaps my perspective is a bit different. Friends living in Italy cannot travel, all shops except pharmacies and grocery stores are closed, and life outside the home is at a standstill for many. I am in no way suggesting that those measures are necessary or forthcoming....I just had them on my mind when I replied. Was also thinking of city dwellers who have limited space & limited supplies, and how life in the hurricane zone turns us all into a species of prepper.

The admins need a "hide this post" feature so that we don't have to look at garbage like "Your City is quarantined starting Sunday" and a "block this user" feature so that you don't have to ever see posts started by the OP.

Meanwhile, cigarette sales continue, which kill 500,000 annually.

I probably hit up Sushi Masa since there’s no way I could make that for myself

I look at it as being similar to hurricane prep: Booze, food, reading materials and a functioning tv. Although, we may venture to nearby watering holes and restaurants, depending on the latest updates. I'm debating whether to drop by my client and neighborhood bar (luckily, one in the same) this weekend.

I would go to my Tex-Mex joint and get the big combo plate of enchiladas/taco/guacamole salad/tamale/rice/beans/tortillas

Got my last big plate of Tex mex yesterday.
