I keep buying stuff that interest me.... I don't like IPA's since they are a little too grassy/hoppy for my so my list is all dark ales

Squatters Hop Rising is so underrated on this board.

I somewhat agree. I loved it last year. This year, it tastes a bit off. It's still a solid double IPA. I like a good malty IPA.

I've gotten that impression...

After knocking out so many wants in the past few months, this is now tops on my list. Been a damn good year thus far though.

I agree. There's alot of shelf space being taken up with this stuff.

I'm glad my statements didn't go unnoticed.

Tdeucen is trying but I feel like he's fallen prey to the fancy labels on a lot of those beers I'm bitching about.

Very aggravating to see Blackout Stout and Amnesia IPA on the shelves of some of our favorite stores around town. It's a complete waste of space and brings a bad name to IPAs and stouts.

I feel like we're inundated with sub-par foreign and "crafty" domestic beers in this state.

I agree. I just don't think Young's falls into that category.

Damn UT. You're not the person and this isn't the topic I wanted to disagree with.

I MAY give the youngs in a bottle another try but I'm pretty sure I'll drink Sam Smith's beers way faster than I'll drink another youngs.

Picked up the Mikkeller Milk Stout and the Jefferson Stout from Lazy Mag at Calandro's today.

I had to give myself a sanity check here, but the BA and RB ratings are 91 and 98, respectively. I think at least few people agree that it is decent.

Yep, I saw that too.

Half of my point is that it's NOT a Double Chocolate stout. Considering Rogue's regular chocolate stout is already more beefy than the Youngs, Rogue's own double chocolate stout is like a quad compared to the Youngs.

Speaking of which, Cuban had some Rogue Double Chocolate Stout bombers the other day. Thought those were all gone until next winter. It's by far my favorite Rogue beer, along with the regular Chocolate Stout.

Now that's a broad statement that I can get behind.

I think their nut brown and Shakespeare stout plus the Chocolates and MAYBE the black IPA are some of their better beers.

Whenever the Founders Imperial Stout was released. Sometime earlier this year.

You know that you can't choose what to order right? They have 2-4 boxes at any given time with a preselected lineup. No custom ordering.

R2R, I've had most of the -ation series, Pliny and Blind Pig, all via mail order from Blackwell's. Man was that a happy day when UPS stopped by. The mailman with my Visa bill was a real downer though. If anyone in our local BXN wants some RR goodies, I will be heading out there in 2 weeks. Willing to consider trades and/or help with the freight.
