You can order it for a reasonable price considering.

Rohan, did Filet and Vine have any Jester King when you were in there last week? They had some last fall, but my suspicion is that it was a one off thing.

I didn't see a single bottle.

$10/bottle with shipping. Not too bad I guess.

I got Heady for $6/can (Pliny shelf price) with shipping in a trade.

We can't all enjoy $4 Pliny pitchers like some we know.

I usually don't look at the price too much because it starts to ruin the fun.

I drank one last night. It should be on your short list for Pale Ales. In the top 3 for me (zombie dust is still #1).

Is there anything similar to Calandro's in the New Orleans area? I've found the beer selection at Whole Foods and Rouses very under-whelming when compared to Calandro's.

Stein's is by and far the best selection in Nola. I also like the Rouses on Tchoup. I haven't been to Elio's in a while but I've heard they stepped their craft game up.

Other places to check out are Martin's Wine Cellar on Vets and the Robert grocery store on Claiborne @ Carrollton.

Every once in a while the Breaux Mart on Mag will surprise. I found Stone Enjoy By there the week it was released.

I stated my 2013 goals in this thread at the beginning of the year.

LINK

Already got three of the four. Not sure if I will try too hard to track down Beatification, considering I've already had plenty of worthy substitutes.

Notables 2013 firsts:

Bell's Hopslam
Founders KBS
Cigar City Hunahpu's Imperial Stout
Goose Island BCBS
Firestone Walker Double Jack
Hill Farmstead Everett
Stone Enjoy By IPA
Troeg's Nugget Nectar
FiftyFifty Imperial Eclipse Stout - Elijah Craig (12 Year)
Evil Twin Imperial Biscotti Break
Three Floyd's Dreadnaught IPA

Lots of other highly regarded and limited stuff as well. Been a good year for beer so far.

I read that CC is setting aside 700 bottles a month, and will be distributed through Florida. Some sort of a voucher system....

Hoping it will be in destin come august

I think it is a one time release of 700 bottles of the BA version that will be tightly allocated.

From Facebook:

quote:

As some of you may be aware, we've been steadily trickling out bottles of Brandy Barrel-aged Hunahpu's Imperial Stout in our tasting room the past week. This has been a great boon to our locals and frequent visitors of the tasting room. However we do not want to leave our out-of-area fans behind! We are pleased to announce we will soon be starting a voucher system for these bottles. We've set aside roughly 700 bottles for folks who couldn't make it to the brewery this week. Basically how the system will work is that we will give these vouchers to our brewery reps and to valued accounts all across the state, and they will disseminate these vouchers at their locations as they see fit. From Miami to Jacksonville to the panhandle and all stops in between. Once you receive a voucher you are then GUARANTEED the opportunity to purchase two bottles of Brandy Barrel-aged Hunahpu's Imperial Stout at the brewery. You'll have 30 days from when the voucher program begins to come to our Tampa brewery and make your purchase. We are finalizing the locations for the vouchers and will make a post about it as soon as it's determined, as well as when the program starts. Stay tuned...

I guess I've never really thought of that one as a milk stout.
