It shouldn't need to happen.

I regret the purchase, sadly, because it would be incredibly convenient if it worked as advertised.

Thermoworks makes a great wireless one. Every Thermowork product i have is very good.

99% sure ThermoWorks does not offer a true wireless probe like the Meater.. If OP is ok with wired probes and is just looking for BT/WiFi connection to his phone they are offering a free gateway when you buy the 2 probe Smoke

Trying out a set of Thermopro Temp Spikes for the first time tonight. They are on sale now and you get a pair for cheaper than a single Meater. Go to the Thermopro website and get the coupon code and input the code on Amazon at checkout.

Can I get two probes and run them on the app at the same time?

I have 4 probes and run them on the app at the same time.

The range is nowhere near what they claim.

I have the 4 probe block and it sits within 10-12 ft. of my smoker. The probes connect just fine to the block. The block then connects to my home network and the app in my cell phone gets all the info over the wifi. I can use the app from my neighbors yard across the street. My smoker is an Okie Joe's Bandera, and it is fairly thin walled steel. If you have a custom built smoker, or any retail smoker, with a wall thickness of .250 or more, I am sure the block would need to be much closer to the smoker.

That's a different company if I'm not mistaken.

We aren't talking about the version with the block that can connect to the wifi.

I have 2 and can't get either to work. Can't tell which is which. Must not have set them up correctly?

Do you charge the probes in the block, (for Kosmo), if you have a block, for at least 4 hours before you try to use them? When you turn on the block it should find the probes, if they are charged up. The probe numbers are on the bottom of each probe, and they should show up in the app accordingly when it links to the block via your wifi.

I have a Meater+ and I like it but as mentioned, there are connectivity issues at times.

I have an older Meater and a newish Combustion. The original Meater is only a single meat sensor, the Combustion has 7 food sensors I think, and it finds the 'core temp' by comparing readings along the sensors. The Combustion has some really nice technology, but you have to charge it before almost every use which is a pain. Meater charging is much better. I think Combustion got better on this after I bought mine.

Recently purchased one by Prober, thing lost Bluetooth signal every time I shut my grill. Considering I was smoking meat it was a bit annoying I returned it. Was part of the Amazon sale recently as advertised was 75 but purchased for 40.

I have both the meater and the thermoworks pen thermometers. Both have connectivity issues. I’ve since gotten away from probes, using just the thermometer on the smoker. My cooks are a lot less stressful now.
