I'm surprised it made it this long once Rouses opened across the street.

Someone just posted this on NextDoor 30 minutes ago. I assume you saw the same post? Or you're the person

I am sad because I really hope it doesn't sit empty long, but certainly not surprised. Knew Rouses would totally decimate them. I wonder how Winn Dixie is doing overall.

That area just doesn’t need and can’t support WalMart, Rouses and Winn Dixie.

Winn Dixie was plagued with poor traffic flow in/out and outdated facilities. It was only a matter of time.

Sad but I like the OP thought of a Total Wine. That would do really especially for game days

Fall of 1996. My first report home from college to my mom was that I could walk into this Winn Dixie, do a 360 degree turn, and see beautiful women in all directions.

It's too small for a big box hardware store...but I. Bet it doesn't stay on the market long...

Could do something like a Harbor Freight or a nice Ace Hardware. Midwest has a few smaller box stores who's name is escaping me right now.

Don't need a lumber yard, but something better than the pit of hell Ace near Kenilworth.

A bigger hardware store than Ace on Highland would be awesome, as it would serve a large circle of people who have to trek across town for the bigger hardware stores.

I remember spending as much money as possible there so I could save $0.03 a gallon on gas with their rewards program. Myself and my room mates bought in to that scam 100%.

Re: McDonalds. - No one wants to be on that cramped side of Burbank/Lee.

I heard rumors of Canes moving but they haven’t started building.
