I saw it advertised in their flyer and went by to see if it was true. The lady said that it was a screw up and they are honoring the price..I guess for the whole week. I know it is not the best muff around but at that price it can't be beat.

As does all of their Rouse brand deli meats.
If only Lil Donny could travel to processing plants and select the meats that go into them.
You know like he does for the olive oil olives or the bourbons. Those taste so much better than all the rest.

Exactly..... Ham, mortadella, salami, provolone, swiss, olive salad, muff bun and be done with it.

You’d have to ask Rouses Madisonville. Last I got one it was in there. First I’d ever seen it. Last I’ll ever get it.

Eta guess I am a retard and mortadella and bologna are not the same.
It was the meat in question.

Downvotes are from people who have never been inside an H.E.B.
H.E.B. would shut Rouses down in 3 years and make them the rural Piggly Wiggly's of Louisiana.

I love HEB when I travel to the Houston area, last time I got a ridiculous deal on frozen lobster tails, made great bisque.
I like some of Rouse's products, but their quality control is terrible, last time I bought the house sausage it was full of UCO's (unidentified crunchy objects and a bone chip the size of a dime. They frequently have expired items in the meat case and coolers, especially dairy.

They did say Rouse.
Probably old expired stuff they couldn’t sell.
Mix it with other meats and no one will notice.

A good heb plus would definitely shut down some rouses though

I went to Rousses and didn't see any of the whole muffs. I asked and the girl kind of smiled and said they sold them all and they would most probably be out of them the rest of the week. I took that to mean they aren't going to put out anymore whole muffs for sale.

Rouse's seems to be following the old Winn Dixie model: replacing name brand products with their own product line. Plus, I'm finding more products are now cheaper at Whole Foods than Rouse's.

I love a new HEB. But the older ones are just not special at all
