Yep, both are great. I went to their Tasting Room in Brooklyn this summer and brought a couple bottles back.

I grabbed the decadence maybe two months ago, and so far I’m not digging it. If it were a $30-$40 bottle I’d feel better about it, but for me it feels like a waste at $100.
Others really like it though, so I very well could be an outlier. Take that for what it’s worth

How’s that KO10 release? I’ve been thinking about it for a year now, but that’s a steep price point for a blind buy. I’ve had another KO release that was great, but I’ve read that their rye batches have been mixed bags over the previous 3 releases.

100% agree. It comes across very weak with little depth. I think it’s why the new MW feels the same. I did a side by side with last years release and it was noticeably different with less body and surprisingly more ethanol forward.

Nope. You are correct. They have pretty much ran out of their very old Indians juice, and that’s what made their ryes so exceptional the last several years. Now they are using their own distillate for all their rye, and really it’s just not that good. As such they are using it for their MW now and to me it’s quite obvious. I think they are getting by on their laurels rather than the actual quality of their product. People think and expect it to be good, so their biases are controlling their experiences currently. In future years the love for this will fade away.

I felt the same way about my bottle last year tbh. Ended up making a bunch of OFs with it with some pecan bitters.

Anyone know what’s going on with River Ridge Discount? Metal doors have been down every time I’ve passed it the last few days. Should be their best time of the year so it definitely raises some concern.
