Regarding Blue Spot: good luck. It’s very limited by us currently. I got lucky and found it at Acquistipace last year after searching for a while. When it does release again you have to grab it. I know it didn’t last long there.
Never had Lustau, so I can’t compare. The PX is incredible though and reminds me of this

This is a big haul for me. I got converted on rye, which I guess I didn't like before because the ones I had sucked. Couple of barrel picks from Justin's in Lexington, New Riff from Newport KY, and a token cheap KY one that I don't usually see down here.

I was supposed to go to Bardstown this morning as we were going to Makers to pick up father in laws “barrel” and also go to others. Damn wife got flu Wed and still running fever. Had to cancel. So I’m there in spirit. GEAUX TIGERS

Made the Bourbon Trail Trip this week. Visited about 18-20 distilleries and coming home with these. The Bardstown Bourbon Distillery Collection is some really good stuff. Was happy to be able to get the Weller and the EC Barrel Proof.
The best unexpected find is the Glenn’s Creek Cuervito Vivo. Translates to “The Crow Lives”. Guy bought the old Old Crow distillery and this is the mash bill of Old Crow. It’s surprisingly a real good pour.

Maisanos letting you taste all of their picks is awesome. I passed on some bottles I thought I would like and bought an old elk that I never have been a big fan of before. I didnt try the Yellowstone though and now regret it. I’ll have to go back soon… for research purposes
