I have not opened it yet but this bottle is a little different. I am not a fan of this series but this was a barrel that Elios bought that got lost from a few year ago. They got a call that they found it and bottled it up. This particular release was wheated and suppose to be one of the best 90 proof wheated bottles around. I read the reviews and all of them were pretty consistent Look up Voyage number 15

That is awesome. I need a bottle of this simply for the story.

nice haul. Should have grabbed a Springbank 12 Cask Strength as well. The latest batch 56.1% is really good. "This batch strays away from the regular Sherry, Bourbon mix with a couple of surprises; 45% Sherry, 25% Bourbon, 25% Burgundy, 5% Port."

If I could've found it on the route, it was coming home. It was available on the route at Smith St Specs til they sold out late last week. EDIT: VERY impressive scotch selection at that specs though. Had the Hazelburn 14 Oloroso in mind as well as that SB12.

What was their price on this bottle? Martin's had a barrel pick of this back in December that was awesome so I'd imagine this bottle would be similar. I've been looking to get one since. I may go take a ride this week and grab one.

I’ve always had the opinion that 1910 is a better pour than the 1920. It tastes like wedding cake

Damn Mouth, now I have to get the 1910.

I think the biggest factor that influences the flavor difference with the 1910/1920 is the proof. 1920 is 114 vs the 1910 at 93. Depending on if you have a preference in proofs could determine which one you like better. I personally prefer the higher proofs in general so I tend to like the 1920 more but the 1910 has a ton of flavor and the lower proof allows it to show itself. Both are solid though and both should be kept in the cabinet.

More so that it’s double barreled at a lower proof like Woodford Reserve double oak. They actually have a very similar flavor profile.

My sister lives outside Louisville and she came home for break. She’s been bourbon hunting, spending my money.
