Just read the last 10 pages. Great pours!

Tonight's Whiskey Wednesday is Cut Above from Mississippi. Are these worth trying?

Yes. They are doing great work in Kiln. Cut above is solid. The double oak single barrel is fantastic.

Evening gentlemen. Was honestly underwhelmed with this bottle.

My Whiskey group recently did a Weller night and I thought the 107 and full proof were clearly the best. Distant third and fourth were the W12 and SR. The W12 and SR were so close in fact that I don’t think I would be able to tell the difference blind. I instantly became a fan of the SR.

If it’s not Weller special reserve than it’s Weller full proof the ones in between are not worth it. Just my opinion

I agree. We also did CYPB and single barrel, which were in the middle of the pack

I’ve not been blown away by any of the Buffalo trace stuff. I’m just starting but they are not drawing me in.

In comparison to the Weller SR i absolutely love Old Emmer Finest wheat I think is 96 proof but I’m a huge fan of the baking spice which serves as a bite which Weller SR doesn’t have.. try it that’s all I can say.

2PD Fresh crack I have been sitting on this bottle for several years and of course the cork cracks. PSA a 4 Roses Small Batch Select cork will replace it.
Always keep extra corks
ETA it is delicious, I got this back in 2014.

My thoughts exactly.

If you like the 107 and Full Proof, find some Bardstown Wheated Black label and a Holliday Wheated Rick House proof. Both do damn near the same thing and you can find them at MSRP. $49 for BBco and $75 for Holliday.

The bardstown is ok but the holladay soft red wheat rick house proof is absolutely worth every penny
