Augusta is my favorite bourbon, not many have had the opportunity to try it as it’s only marketed in Ohio and Kentucky, and in addition to Seelbach’s selling some Rt 8. Very anxious to get their new release in June, planning to be at the distillery when it’s announced.

Augusta is sourced from Barton. People were turned off by the $199 price for a 13 year single barrel BP in 2020 when it came out. I bought quite a few of them at the time. This is the 3rd bottle I have gone through. 2 of the 3 were excellent.

I’ve enjoyed all of them, including the River Proof Series. They will introduce their 17 year in June, and anxious to get a couple bottles.
In addition, the Buckner name was supposed to go away with the 15 year, but it will be used with the 17. The RT8 was going to be the first in a a series of five releases, but now that’s on hold, and they’re not sure how they will proceed. I suspect their investment to scale has changed, but that’s just a guess.

I don’t have a ton of exposure to scotch, but Glenmo Signet is my favorite that I’ve had.

Same here. I have several expressions of macallan and aberlour, but that's about it in terms of the home bar. I'm not a big fan of peat so look for the ones without it. It tends to overpower the other flavors for me. I have had several expressions of glenmo in the past, but the signet is definitely a step up. I usually get a lot of honey and lighter fruit, but this has chocolate and darker fruit. Very good stuff.

I decided to stick with samples. Michters 10 bourbon is next. I've got the rye, but have never owned this one.

Been quite a while since I’ve hopped into this thread, so I figured I do a little drive by. Had some rum drinks earlier but this is my first whiskey pour of the day while I get the grill hot for some pork tenderloins.

Yeah life is busy so I don’t have the time to post like I used to. I’ll do a drive by here and there though. That Russel’s 13 is incredible by the way

It feels strange to type this, but that Kirkland Lowland Single Malt is pretty good. I’m having some now with a single cube, and like that, it’s easily in the zone of a good evening scotch.

Evening baws, first two pours tonight

I hope they do another run of the Tropics, that was definitely one of my favorite widely distributed pours of the last year. Also going to miss this Camp Nelson pick.
