Just out of curiosity what exactly did they pour in that Sazerac looks like a triple for a Sazerac.

Question for the board:
Do you believe this scotch taste just like it did when it was bottled 60+ years ago, or can it change (for the good or bad) over 60 years?
TH03 is trolling, saying I am wrong in stating it probably has changed. Told me to do research before making false claims. I did, and the very first link states it can "bottle age" (not true aging, just changing over the years)

Unlike wine, whisky does not mature in the bottle. So even if you keep a 12 year old bottle for 100 years, it will always remain a 12 year old whisky. As long as the bottle is kept out of direct sunlight, the Scotch Whisky will neither improve nor deteriorate, even if it is opened. Whisky that is stored at very low temperatures can become cloudy, but the cloudiness should disappear when the whisky is returned to room temperature.

you just quoted where it said "even if opened"
the whole thing started when that dude started a brag thread about it acting like it was too important and noteworthy to just post in this thread so it needed it's own thread.
it's a 20 year old scotch. nothing more, nothing less.

That reminds me about the Scotch that was found in the Antarctic. Pretty cool story if anyone missed it.

It is great!!! The aging process after it was bottled must have been something phenomenal!!!
Its like drinking a Macallan 25 single malt.

yea there's a New York Times piece about that and the experts that were working on replicating it even said it will taste exactly the same as if they sipped it 100 years ago.
I suggest reading it. it's a very fun piece.
