I bet the higher proof helps it along. I enjoy the higher proof of the blantons I had last night vs the regular I been having at Zias (only place that has it lol)

Anyone had Masterson's 10 year old rye whiskey? Is it worth a purchase? Does it compare to Taylor rye?

sweet, son-in-law got his for the AR about 6 months ago, sounds like an air rifle ....

pretty much, friend just bought 3 AK's, ran him about $700 each ...

they're in great shape, but damn, $700 for AK's

Had another good lineup at my local watering hole last night for an early Christmas dinner. Had the usual WLW and ER17 and had some pours out of a couple bottles of scotch I'd been wanting to try: Aberlour 16 year and Cragganmore Distillers Edition 2012 (portwood finish)...



...Needless to say, I was a fan of both

Picked up michters 10yr and Taylor single barrel this afternoon. Not a bad score right before the holiday.

Really good, still trying to prefect my recipe though.

Prime rib sounds delicious right now... Leftover gumbo for us tonight.
