It works pretty darn well. They had them over at the local watering hole and it made a difference in the tastes and nuances. Basically achieves a similar effect as letting one "air out" for a while. Works especially well on the barrel proof stuff.

Serving up some gumbo tonight. Went around seeing if there was anything I felt I had to have. Nothing really so sticking with the old faithfuls. Gonna put a prime rib on tomorrow and I'm sure that will required some bourbon.

I have used wine aerator before with success. Although the one I have isn't a good one. It does in deed make a difference.

Finally made it home from dinner...now what to drink.....

Aberlour 16 was my go to along with Balvenie 12yr Doublewood. Then the price went stupid on absrlour.

Drink it neat. I think it has a little punch at first sip, great flavor, slightly fast finish but overall I really enjoy it. Let me know what you think.

This Christmas Eve has turned into kill the bottle night. OFBB 13, Son of Bourye, and EH Taylor barrel proof. All of them started the evening low, but they are all empty now.
