So I had a C a while ago (2years maybe) and drank it up. I remember liking it but it was a while between having that and the current EH stuff. So what's the draw to the C...just because it's far and few between that will be gone for good one day or does it taste that much different than the current crop?

it's supposed to be very good. they attribute it to the fact that the barrels sat exposed in that damaged rickhouse. when its gone its gone

It's good stuff. I had it a couple weeks ago at a local bar and was very impressed. I don't think it's worth over $150 and especially not over $200 as being asked on the secondary market. I think the rarity is driving the price more than the taste.

Can someone detail Basil hayden for me? My friend was asking and it's been so long since center I've had it, I just remember it being a little sweet and very easy to drink.

Very easy to drink. i like it. Tastes like Werthers Original in a bottle, lots of caramel flavor

Basil is good but way over priced. Basil is made by Jim Beam and is the same mashbill as Old Grand Dad. Basil has dropped it's age statement so it's hard to know what the difference is other than Basil is cut to 80 proof. Old Grand Dad 86, 100, and 114 are all stronger and a lot cheaper. I keep a bottle of 114 on hand pretty much all the time.

I only purchased 1 bottle of 4R's 125th ($150) on BX. The rest were "local" finds.
