I was at Bourbon House last night...needless to say, they had a ridiculous allocation.

i've been told pretty mucht the same thing by 2 people that work at Republic and a local store owner

It's all hearsay.. There are only a couple people that know allocations. The store owner is definitely not one of them
Restaurants and bars always get more, thats nothing new

How is that wrong? I talk to my RNDC rep on a daily basis. They havent told him anything. I also know a couple bar owners who have heard nothing either.

i know if you dont stock a certain brand of vodka your going to be pretty far down the list.

I talked to the Vice President of Spirits for Republic and he said retail got the shaft harder than he's ever seen. He didn't mention specific numbers though.

A guy at dorginacs yesterday. "Yall ever get any of that Pappy Van Winkle stuff?" Store clerk shows him the bottles of Handy on the shelf and explains they have some BTAC but no Pappy. Guy says " 250 dollars... nah that's what I'd pay for that Pappy Van Winkle good stuff."
