I've had the 19yr Age of Discovery and liked it alot. I'm guessing there is a pretty noticeable difference between the two with the extra 5 years of age?

I likes it, just got some. I like it as much as the 15 with a different flavor.

It is not even in the same universe as the age of discovery. Age of discovery is much much better.

Really 15 over 18?

Cask of dreams over 21?

1963 is really good but not that good.

Interesting choices

The 21/cask of dreams could have been even for me.

The 18 is good, but the 15 is more along the lines of what I tend to lean to with scotch.

GL18 is much better than GF18.

I guess it's going to have to be a scotch night after this grilled swordfish/white Bugundy.

OK. I respect and approve of TAs recommendations but comparing the cask of dreams to the 21 made me thinking. Hmm has TA gone crazy? So I went back and tried the cask of dreams again.

I think there is a chance TA has been taking hallucinogins.

The cask of dreams is as harsh and unpleasant as a weekend with ur mother in law.

I would put it just above the 12 buy not by much.

TA... Ur awesome but we are going to have to disagree on this one. I guess that is what makes whiskey great. Different for everyone.

It's smoke and mirrors. We poured out the scotch and put bourbon in it.

I like some heat and harshness...too smooth often bothers me. I will have some Cask next and see. I like Barrel Proof bourbon and peaty scotch...sorry for partying, brah

2PD: Oban 18....not sure I love it. Not 130 worth for sure. It's just not great.

A question for the scotch guys. I'm looking to branch out and try some scotch. The last one I bought was Belvanie Double Wood. I hated it, but I think I'm just not a fan of anything finished in wine casks. Angels Envy = meh. High West MWND = can't stand it.

I actually enjoy High West Campfire though.

Would that Glenfiddich 14 be a good one to try next? Any other suggestions?

That was the only bottle of whiskey I've ever given away.

Glenfiddich 14 is good or Glenfiddich 15. Do not get Glenfiddich 12. Abelour is also a good start.

Be careful with islay scotches as they r very different.

Enjoy.
