That disappoints me to hear Noah's Mill can be inconsistent. I have only had 1 bottle and it is one of my favorites

starting to think they just buy other distillerys crappy barrels

Thats exactly what they do. KBD got floated by the one off 16yr BMH that ended up being old S-W juice. I wont buy KBD anymore

Yeah I opened mine too - definitely same guy. I thought it was great neat. Definitely hotter than the regular small batch.

yea i cant believe those bottles made it... i definitely liked it and thought it was a very good release. wasn't extremely surprised by it...it tasted like i thought it would, a really good Four Roses

Unfortunately every time I found the 2012 Small Batch Limited I had already drank a few other whiskeys so I couldn't judge it very well - most bourbons are great if it's your 3rd or 4th. I'm definitely happy to have the 2013. BTAC makes it to my neck of the woods but this stuff never does.

I expected the Four Roses to be good, and it was.. I did not expect the ECBP to be as good as it was.

I dont know why but I enjoy noah, rowans, BMH, and Willette pot stilled every time I have them. Maybe I have lucked out but I have had quite a few.

So what is the proof of the 4 roses?

103.2. Kinda weak for "barrel strength."

I agree... That was the first thing I looked at and I saw 51.2 and figured for sure it had to be a 57.2 that got smudged.. I could tell when I tasted it though that it wasnt 57.

i was a little disappointed by that

I see others in this thread have already enjoyed this but I picked up a bottle of W.L. Weller 12 year last Saturday. Outstanding stuff. Especially for the price of $25.

Why don't the liquor stores in Lafayette ever get hard to find bourbons??

Baton Rouge and N.O. are bigger markets I assume. More stores and more restaurants that have that stuff on their menus and hit up the reps early. Do ya'll have any specialty liquor stores in Laffy like Churchills and Cuban?
