HighCotton, I haven't tried that one, how is it?
I went to the dry fly distillery last year....not what I was expecting. I've been to Makers, Four Roses, Willet, etc. So I had an idea of what a typical distillery that puts out a decent amount of juice looks like; rolling hills, lots of land, multiple buildings, all of that stuff we know about them. Dry fly is near old downtown Spokane in a strip center. Has a restaurant/microbrewery next door (unrelated) and a bunch of other random stores. And the place itself wasn't that large for the amount of bottles I see readily available they put out. None the less, don't make the trip just to go see them.

Friendly reminder, next Bourbon Society event is this Saturday at Olive or Twist from 5-7. We are giving away EH Taylor small batch, rye, and barrel proof. Josh went out of his way and found a really unique flight for us. Doing Four Roses Super Premium, Evan Wiliams 10 year single barrel, distilled in 1992, so that survived the Heaven Hill fire. Also Basil Hayden 8 year age stated from 1992, the first year it was released, and lastly the Wild Turkey Rye 101 from the mid 2000's,which isn't currently in production in every state. We are getting 4 this time for the price of $20.

What's cool about these bottles is they are all brands we've tried before or probably started drinking with but they are all unique and older expressions. I will say Josh has gone out of his way to try and come up with a unique flight and make it special for us. I know he's not making any money on the flights either. So if you are free, please come out and spend some money at Olive or Twist. Josh is a great guy and he's really excited for our group. He's been pulling for us since day 1 and I want to be able to help him out on his end.

Rum House is right there OR if drunk enough can head over to the Taco Bell across the street. LOL

Yeah we could definitely do dinner. Rum House is right next door. We had talked about going to Bistro Byronz for dinner so we could do that too, it's down Perkins just a little ways. Or there's a lot of places by the Mall and Essen we could go to as well.

I can't believe I will miss the Bourbon Society event again. I would love to try that flight, but will be in New Orleans for a work event.

Hit 3 places on the Coast...all 3 sold out of Sweet Wheat.

Did manage one Taylor Single Barrel for 55.
