What bottle should I get next?

Colonel E.H. Taylor Single Barrel

Rowan's Creek

Noah's Mill

So far I have tried Blanton's, Bookers, and Four Roses Single Barrel. I like Blanton's and Four Roses the best.

Out of those, I'd go with Noahs.

Another vote for the Taylor here. I've really really liked everything from that line.

I find that the Noahs and Rowans are wildly inconsistent. One bottle can be very good and the next crappy.

Don't they buy the alcohol from other distillers and then age it?

Yes, that is what KDB does. Black Maple Hill is another one...

Didnt know that. I guess so much time passes between when I replace those bottles I dont notice. I get a batch and drink...then i get another batch that is usually different ones...so on. So it may be a couple batches between when I get another NM RC or BMH but each single one might be in a batch.

I got a bottle of Blanton's as a gift. Had never tried it, and I'm impressed--not that I'm a connoisseur.

Found a few bottles of JPS 18 in the wild today at $96 for batch 30. Thoughts?

If it were me I'd get it, but some say the higher batch and not as good. I don't have enough experience one way or the other with that.
