Anyone had a chance to try the woodford reserve batch proof?

I picked up a bottle when I visited the distillery earlier this spring. It's damned good. The only high proof bourbons that I can recall drinking over the past few years are Bookers and Knob Creek, and the Woodford is definitely better than those two (which are both really tasty to me in their own right)

What gave it away?

You should mix the two in the middle 50/50 and let it sit for a week or two then do a flight of all 5.

It definitely is different. But I liked it.

I didn’t realize how high a proof it is. I started off trying it neat and it was a little too hot. I added a couple of ice cubes and it opened up alot for me. You can tell that it is a blend. Lot of complexity with several different flavors. I will be interested to see how my next pour is over the next few days. They always seem to open up more after a day or too when it was opened.
