They said there were some 12's in the back but it was selling too quickly and they wanted to have some left when Fred Noe came to the store. I couldn't convince the guy to slip me one!

I tried Springbank at a neighbors house a couple of years ago and it's become my 'house' scotch. I get tart fruit flavors from the 10yo, like pear and green apple, some vanilla, and just enough smoke/brine to know I'm drinking scotch.

Interestingly, Calandro's had the whole lineup of Springbank when I was there last month. The guy said they usually only stock the younger ones but had mis-communicated when ordering accidentally bought the whole range!

Although I didn't try the exact Calandros Jefferson Reserve Ocean Cask Strength, I did try another one. It was delicious. As you seem to be a fan of Calandros barrel picks, give this one a try. Bring your checkbook though. At $100 it isn't cheap.
